Dr. Ken Austin, MD

Not worth the time or the drive with this guy. He's one of those black & white, my way or the highway egotistical man wearing a suit.

Doesn't bother to look at tests, simply decided you are a lying drug seeker if surgery doesn't work. Now scheduled for surgery ASAP because I have a rare issue in which the bolts did not bind, the CT scan was available for him, he Bascaly called me a liar. Said I was "challenging him" any time I asked a question. Took me off a pain med that was working with rest and put me on a new one. I didn't sleep for a MONTH. Horrible person

It's disgusting that someone would get into this field for the money rather than actually helping people, people in all sorts of pain. If Dr. Austin's mother or family was in this sort of pain, he wouldn't harass them and LITERALLY call them a drug-seeker, instead, he'd give them whatever they need. I've never felt so degraded from an office visit with a "physician". Dr. Kenneth, just wait until you have to deal with a loved one with this sort of pain. Try listening to your patients for once. You might learn something.

Family Dr referred me after a car accident that severed two arteries to my brain and injured my neck and back. He basically accused me of drug seeking and said I would have to repeat physical therapy for the third time this year. I would have to complete smoking cessation classes and see his psychiatrist before he would treat me. I would also have to pass two drug screens. Which is not a problem but would require two months. He was rude arrogant and not gentle at all on examining me. They don't answer their phone or return your calls. I called them on a Monday and again on Wednesday and left messages. That was two weeks ago. Still no return call. It was the worse experience with a so called Dr I have ever had. I will not return.

Dr. Austin treats his patients all sorts of wrong. This guy will aggressively and blatantly tell a patient they are seeking narcotics, but it gets better. Before he makes your father cry of guilt and shame for seeking some level of pain relief, he will prescribe an arsenal of alternative therapies that line Dr. Austin's pockets. Once those therapies prove faulty and Dr. Austin made a quick dollar, you're labeled a seeker and courteously shown the door. Absolutely outrageous.

They don't return phone calls, would call before 5:00 answering service would answer. Asked if the doctor on call could call that night. Was told the symtpons I was having was not a reason for them to contact the doctor on call to call me. Called the next day to speak with someone which was now a Friday. It is Monday afternoon and still no return call. I am a cancer patient and have been on pain medicine for quite awhile. My cancer is now under control so I am trying to get off pain meds. It has been a nightmare working with this office. I should have stayed with my pain management doctor at IU Medical Center. Since we live 2 1/2 hours from Indianapolis I thought I would be OK to seak a doctor closer to home to help me through this. HUGE MISTAKE !!!!

Dr that cares more about money and golfing than his patients

Was able to get in pretty fast, tens unit are helping and not hard to use. Dr. A was very kind.

absoulutely awesome at injections ......Dr. Austin and his staff listen and they work with you to manage your pain.....i will never be perfect again ......but i am at a level of pain that i can live and enjoy myself again......

Talks At Us, Not With Us. There is nor doctor patient relationship as he tells us what he can't do instead of talking about how he can help us. If we can't take a medicine, (NSAIDS) (anaphylactic reaction), he wants us to, we are lying to get pain meds.
