Awful, and that doesn’t even come close. Took me off a medicine I had been on for at least twelve years against my will. I begged him not to. Left me to be my own doctor for at least two months in full blown mania with major psychotic symptoms of the horrific kind. Lied to me to leave me hanging for those two months I found out from a trusted source. He did provide me with unlimited medicine so I could figure out how to get better on my own. I didn’t go to medical school however though I did have some valuable knowledge praise God. I heard he’s done this since to someone else. Only wants easy clients. Clients beware.

I have been seeing Dr. Burns regularly for over a decade now and I am extremely grateful for his compassion, intelligence, and persistence. I have struggled with bipolar depression for most of my adult life, and I am finally on a medication that works great for me because of Dr. Burns’ commitment to his patients and to being an expert in his field. I am confident that if I was seeing a doctor who wasn’t continuously educating himself about the latest research and medications, I would still be struggling today. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Burns to anyone looking for a psychiatrist.

When I first visited Dr. Burns he was fabulous. He demonstrated interest in me, was not a "down to the minute" clock watcher," and would go the extra mile to assist. I write to report--in my opinion--all this has changed. Dr. Burns appears to have lost interest. Over the years, I recommended him to a number of friends. No more.

12 years ago I suffered a severe depression/nervous breakdown. I had no faith in psychiatrist because I have never found a good one until Dr. Burns. I currently am still under is care and I am so grateful for this Doctor. I can't say enough good things about him. I highly recommend him. You are in good hands

Took me off a medicine I had been on for over 12 years after I begged him not too. I told him I would get really sick. He would not listen. I got really sick. He abandoned me with a two month supply of medicine and no referral. I would be very careful about getting too sick with this doctor. I wouldn’t recommend him to anyone.
