Dr. Kenneth Murray Deen, MD

Dr. Murray stayed past closing to treat me for an eye infection. He showed great competency and compassion in his care. The staff was extremely courteous. i would recommend anyone to the Upson Eye Clinic for eye care. Especially if you have a difficult eye problem.

Dr Deen cleared up a corneal ulcer due to my contact lens wear. I had seen another local eye doctor who had mis diagnosed my red eye as an allergy. He was courteous and compassionate in his care. I was extremely happy to get relief after a week of misery using the wrong medication for my ulcer

I came in specifically to clear up eye infecions in both eyes. Dr. Murray Deen prescribed both tablets and eye drops. I asked him if I needed to get rid of my contact lenses and he said "no" just clean them properly and they should be OK." I did the full course of treatments then clean my contacts as directed and put them back in. Within 4 days I had the infections again so back to Dr. Deen I went only to be told that I was reinfected from the contacts. I reminded him that he OK'd me to keep my contacts to which he replied "I would never do that. That would be malpractice." He then left the room, tended to another patient. He then returned with the chart became indignant that I disputed him and he told me that "discard contacts" was in the chart. I'm not sure why he went straight to "malpractice" because although I was angry that he led me back to getting infected, I just wanted him to fix it and move on. He informed me that "our doctor patient relationship is over" and that I… could go to Dr. Kretzmer or Dr. Lastinger which is exactly what I will do. The only reason I went to him is because my Genral Practioner suggested him because he is an opthamologist. What a shame. This guy is such a liar. I have never had a problem with any doctor and the kicker is I have proof of what he said but no interest in suing just want to get better.
