Dr. Kenneth Edward Fasanella, MD

I just had a deep balloon endoscopy done by Dr. Fasanella. He was very bright and took the time to explain the procedure. Being a long term ICU RN, not familiar with him, I was very anxious about this procedure but felt comforted with his caring demeanor and professionalism. I am thankful for his expertise.

I thought he was pre-occupied with another appointment, concerned with doctors losing their licenses over pain medications and precribed me medications I have already taken that did not work and anothermed that I am already taking its cousin. The vist was no help but he knew a lot of cool technical terms

The best compliment I could give regarding Dr. Fasanella is I would not hesitate to recommend him to any family member(including my Grandchildren). That should tell anyone as to what I think of Dr. Fasanella.

Ive been a patient for almost 2 years. I was referred to him by another GI doctor due to the complexity of my condition. He takes a great deal of time to sit with you, make you feel comfortable and reassured and answer any questions. He's extremely knowledgable and I trust his opinion 100%. I also appreciate the fact he mentioned some alternatives to compliment western medicine. Such as ginger and peppermint capsules for gastric problems and motility issues I have. And the help a lot more than reglan and the other drugs without any side effects. My wife, father and sister have already changed their GI Dr because they too were impressed by his professionalism, bed side manner and knowledge. I would strongly recommend him to anyone with esophageal disorders. You can just tell he cares about his patients, takes his time with us, and really knows what he is talking about.

I first met Dr. Fasanella in May 2013. I recently returned to Pittsburgh Presby Hospital for a 6 mo check of endoscopic ultrasound. I did not have an appt. at his office before this procedure, which was fine as I knew why I was going back. I like Dr. Fasanella very much. He takes time, answers questions, does not brush off any concerns I have. I liked that he felt comfortable enough to come in and sit in the chair beside my bed and talk with me about the procedure and ask if I had any questions or concerns. Most Dr. are talking as they walk in and walk away but not him. He sat down and talked with me. I like that. It shows he cares about his patients and is willing to listen to any concerns or questions. His staff at his office in May was very courteous and left his patients know he was running a little behind. They were all very friendly including Dr. Fasanella himself. I hope he stays in Pitts. as I will be returning for more checkups. His office also was very prompt in notifying me… of my biopsy results. He also came and talked with me after the procedure to let me know what he found and what he did.

Have been very pleased with Dr Fasanella's care. Despite having complex medical issues that have been too difficult for others, he has embraced them and has done extraordinary well with handling my care.

Dr. Fasanella was very friendly and intelligent, and seemed to really care about me as a person. He also did a very thorough endoscopic ultrasound. It was well worth the 2 1/2 hour drive to have this procedure done by an expert in this field.
