Dr. Kenneth S Fried, MD

Came here following a ER visit (met him at the er) and was told by him and the front desk receptionists at his office that my insurance was in network when I asked. The front desk even said all I would have to pay is a $10 copay. Confirmed with fried again when I was seen and he said even if my insurance wasn?t, that my visit would be considered in network since it was related to my er visit which was considered in network. Now I have a claim that was denied and when calling his office with my healthcare representative, they flat out denied saying any of what they said and hung up. THESE PEOPLE AEE A FRAUD DO NOT GO HERE.

My wife and I visited Dr. Fried regarding my wife's diverticulosis. He was knowledgeable and very easy to talk with. After initially reading some reviews, we were a bit concerned but our gastroenterologist highly recommended him. Dr. Fried rates our five star review.

He was my doctor a few years ago at a point in my life where I did not have medical insurance. I was in an extreme amount of pain and was in need of gallbladder removal surgery. After the operation, his bedside manner was terrible. He made me feel as if I inconvenienced him because he said my gallbladder was extremely inflamed and the surgery went on for much longer than expected. As if I had control of that. I was in the hospital for nearly a week and saw him twice. I had 2 follow-up visits (one to check on stitches and the other to remove) and both times the topic of conversation was about money and setting up a payment plan. After telling him I was in pain (soreness making it extremely difficult to move) he did not write (or offer to write) a prescription for anything. 1. Terrible bedside manner 2. Talks to you like an idiot 3. All about money

This doctor is has poor bedside manner, does not use language appropriate to the patient, is off topic, indecisive, and could NOT come up with a plan of care. Contradicted himself multiple times, and could only talk about the importance of never having another CAT scan.

I do not recommend this doctor under any circumstances.

Dr. Fried is one of the worst doctors that we have experienced. His bed side manners are horrible and does not care about his patients. This doctor does not know what he is doing. My nephew could of lost his life because of this man.How Dr. Fried sleeps at night we'll never know. If you want to keep yourself and your family safe DO NOT HAVE THIS DOCTOR PERFORM SURGERY ON YOU. And the hospital he works at, Englewood Hospital is not any better. The nurses are uncaring.

Excellent doctor, took care of me every step of the way

Wound opened, got infected. Dr. Fried not quite as on top of things as I'd have liked. Also, assured me that this was very straightforward and I could be "back at work" the next day. It's now been 15 days.

He was my surgeon for an apendectomy. He explained everything in detail and made me feel comfortable asking him questions. He made me feel safe and didn't rush my visit. The surgery went well, and I was up and about within a few hours.
