Dr. Fryer is skilled in surgery and provided great communication and follow up.

He seem to act like he could not read the x-ray but did not order a new one Just told me it was not broke and when I asked him about my symptoms he just shrugged and repeated it was not a fracture, When I asked a third time about my symptoms if said it might be " soft tissue "and pointed to the splint on the table that I was given by Urgent care and said " wear that " He did not offer a MRI or repeated the x-ray or helping me put the splint back on! There is not another hand Orthro in the area If I am crippled or have o long term Medical injury it will be cause of his lack of care and his Bias Before my appointment he came out and kept looking in my direction I did not know that he was the Doctor.. This area has a lack of diversity and bias base thinking. They try and act like they are helping people Some they do Others they Just do not offer every thing they could Medically Just enough so that do not get sued I should of know he was going to do as little as possible… for me . I

Don't let this guy damage you, misdiagnosis, poor choice of surgery options, go to Mexico before you trust this guy.

Dr. Fryer seems extremely competent in his field. Only fault is waiting time and congested waiting rooms typical of Central Coast Medical practices. Long waits beat long drives to UCLA where short wait times are the norm.

Dr. Fryer not only fixed my segmented compound fracture of my right tib and fib, he saved my life.

Dr Fryer has done two surgeries on my left hand, both of which have turned out well. His manner is efficient and to the point - something I appreciate. He is nevertheless thorough and attentive. I have had no trouble getting an appointment, and I have found the staff courteous and helpful. I have read other reviews of Dr. Fryer and find nothing in common with those that are unfavorable.

GET A 2ND OPINION. STAFF AND DOCTOR TREAT YOU LIKE GARBAGE. YOU SHOULD CHECK WITH YOUR MD TO MAKE SURE YOU ARE FIT FOR SURGERY---THEY DON'T TEST YOU AND THEY DON'T CARE. NO AFTER HOURS NUMBER.

So irritated w/ staff in Dr. Fryer's office! Don't ask for pain meds, his staff will treat you like a drug addict even if you just had major surgery w/ Dr. Fryer! You will wait 1-3 hours to see the Dr for less than 10 minutes!

The Dr. is gone frequently for weeks at a time, then books as many appts as possible to pay for the vacation. This resulted in my 2+ hour wait, followed by a brusk and apathetic 4 minute visit where he was unable to determine what was wrong and recommended surgery. Ridiculous. This guy and his operation are awful. Decent office staff though!

Dr Fryer is a very good Dr but what is terrible is his staff, Gretchen in particular. She is always in an irritable mood and makes you feel like being in the office is a huge inconvenience, I have spoken to several patients in the waiting room and they all agree. I am so fed up I am looking for a new doctor!! The receptionists are very rude and I have been several times, the wait is ALWAYS 45-60 min then another 30-60 in the room! After 60K+ in surgery's you would expect good customer service but NOPE!!!I even drove to Pismo for an appt to try and escape Gretchen but nope, she is everywhere! The wait was much better in Pismo and the receptionist was also better.It is a shame, Fryer is a good doctor and I like him but the staff is so terrible and makes me so mad and stressed out he is not worth it!
