Dr. Kenneth Joseph Galeckas, MD

I was surprised to get a call from Dr Galeckas after my procedure. He was very thorough in explaining the healing process and was able to keep us calm before during and after surgery.

Dr. Galeckas was very thorough and patient. His staff was warm and friendly and put my mind at ease with the procedure. I would highly recommend him for his professionalism and knowledge. I was surprised to get a call from him at the end of the day to check in on me.

While Dr. Galeckas may be a personable individual, his surgical technique is extremely poor. Moreover, he does not care whether or not he leaves a patient with permanent scars which often can be avoided. One would hope that a dermatologist who is removing lesions from a patient's face would be far more careful about permanent scarring. Portland now has more dermatologists - - please choose carefully!

Dr. Galeckas may be personable, but the care that he provides is not consistent with the standard of care. Dr. Galeckas fails to provide his patients with knowledge of alternative treatments and uses whatever treatment modality he thinks is most convenient even if it leads to disfigurement.

I have had two recent surgeries by Dr. Galeckas and definitely recommend his services. He does great work; he is proficient, professional and personable. Also, he has wonderful assistants. They are quite capable and accommodating. Dr. Galeckas made my surgical procedures more bearable than I anticipated.
