Dr. Kenneth Guess loves dentistry because of its opportunity to change people’s lives for the better. He went to undergraduate school in Southern Missionary College, and completed his D.D.S. in 1965 at Emory University School of Dentistry .
Dr. Guess spent 30 years practicing dentistry in the US Army Dental Corps from 1965 – 1995. During this time he received a 2 yr residency in General Dentistry and is a Fellow of the Federal Board of General Dentistry. He accumulated over 800 hours of continuing education while in the military.
Dr. Guess continues to place a high priority on staying current with emerging dental technology. He attends a multitude of continuing education courses each year concerning everything from the latest trends in patient comfort and service to training in complex cosmetic and general care.
Dr. Guess loves playing golf, fly fishing, karaoke, dancing and longs to make one skydive each year.

Dr Guess was born and raised in Chattanooga and the Smokey Mountains were always just eyesight away on a clear day. The draw of the autumn colors and the outdoor pageant  “Unto These Hills†was ever present and, for the good part of his young life, his family made the annual pilgrimage to Cherokee and Maggie Valley. He fell in love with the area and said someday he would live there. Little did he know then, that some 60 years later he would purchase a dental practice in Maggie Valley to fulfill his childhood dream.
