Dr. Kenneth O Jobson, MD

After being in his office only a short time, he assured me that all of my symptoms were treatable. His demeanor with his patients is not only very comforting but hes so genuinely kind. When I left on my first visit, I thought of him as a caring friend and not just another patient.

I was having trouble sleeping at night because of severe stress and lost weight.. After one visit with a change in medication and cutting back on alcohol i was back to feeling my old self again .

My 1st appointment was after 3 years of other Dr.'s failed attempts to get me stabilized with meds for bipolar. From the very beginning he put together a mix that changed my life for the better. That was 11 years ago and I am just as grateful now as I was then. It's normal to need adjustments over time and it always goes well.

Dr. Jobson has improved my quality of life a hundred-fold by understanding me and my behavior better than I did myself. When I knew there was something "wrong with me", I had no idea what it was, so how could I describe it to anyone else? By engaging in a discussion with me, and taking two simple, quick tests, he was able to begin helping me. From his extensive experience, he was able to prescribe medicine that worked for me without having to wait 4-6 weeks for it to take effect. And he helped me to understand that there is nothing "wrong with me". The chemistry in my brain works a little differently than the majority of people, but I am not without company in this difference. With understanding comes acceptance, compassion, and appreciation for one's self. Dr. Jobson has changed to trajectory of my life and I will be forever grateful to him and his staff.

Dr. Jobson is one of the only physicians I have seen that a) doesn't speak to me in a patronizing tone and b) KNOWS HIS STUFF! He is on the cutting edge and has inside information that other doctors will read about in tomorrow's paper.He is one of the brightest and most helpful individuals. Knoxville is lucky to have him!
