Dr. Kenneth David Kronhaus, MD

I have been experiencing chest pain and I was told and referred by Bud Heddinger. from his early morning radio station 540am that Lake Cardiology was the best . He explained Ken saved his life. I set up an appointment with I thought Ken neth to get examed and be tested for my chest pain. I drove 50 miles took time off work and went to my appointment to find out that Kenneth was not available to see me at all for 2 months. I am shocked that I was not told this over phone. They could only set me up with a physicians assistant. I feel like a bait and switch has taken place. I have had multiple tests at there facility including a ekg,ultrsound,ultrsound with stress test and blood work. I did these tests over the period of a week. I hoped that I could at least see the Doctot for my results. This did not happen. If you schedule an appointment with Lake Cardiology do not assume you will see Kenneth Kenneth.

I agree it is important to call ahead to find out how behind Dr. Kronhaus is running, but this is only because he spends as much time as he needs with his patients. Two years prior I had a nuclear stress test after a regular stress test showed an abnormality. The nuclear test was inconclusive and my cardiologist at the time left it at that. Two years later I am in Dr. Kronhaus's office - after a very thorough initial visit, a few diagnostic tests later, he found I had small vessel blockage in a small section of my heart and also a "small" thoracic aneurysm. He treated the blockage with EECP treatment and it was successful. I feel much better overall! The aneurysm has to be monitored annually to ensure it does not grow and require surgery. I'm also pretty sure it did not show up overnight - meaning, my previous cardiologists missed it because they did not delve deeper. Thank God for Dr. Kronhaus's expertise, knowledge, compassion, and persistence. I drive one hour each way to… see him and it is worth it. I recommend him to anyone needing a cardiologist.

My husband is only 54, yet has heart disease. Dr kronhaus spends two hours with him at each appt, exploring all aspects of my husbands situation. We call ahead and find out a better approximation of the real time to show up and even then, we bring reading material. Often, my husband sees the doctor three or four hours after the scheduled time. Once you experience how mych time he spends with you, it will all be worth it. (In my opinion) He is brilliant and does not just rush to medicate. He takes the time to have lifestyle discussions as well. He seems very current on current research in the field too. I have been very impressed.

I wanted to comment on Mark Warga's post and poor review on Dr. Kronhause. It just amazes me how blind some peoples understanding can be. I have also waited long times to get in to see him. As long as 3 hours before. I gladly wait because my heart is on a schedule I can't control. The reason for the wait is Dr. Kronhause takes what ever time is necessary unload his brain from the previous patient and load up all the tremendous amount of information required to make the most qualified detailed diagnosis of the current state of that persons heart. I could see this train of thought if we were talking about a dentist and a cavity. So my suggestion to Mr. Warga is you probably did the right thing considering your perspective.

Most caring and knowledgeable Dr.I have been to.His mannerism and professionalism is second to none.He is my life saver.Thank you for all the time you gave me explaining my condition Dr Kronhaus.And thank your staff from nicole to loraine for the excellent treatment I received.

Outstanding, thorough, compassionate and knowledgable physician. Best exam I have had in very long time. I finally have hope. He diagnosed my problem when others could not. He gives you the time you need and the wait is so worth it.

I go to Dr Kronhaus for a life saving therapy program called EECP. He is attentive and listens to my point of view and my problems . He gives comprehensible answeres and insights. My EECP therapist Wendy is the best, she should be there full time but is only there for late appointments, so I schedule my appointments every day for when she is there! You're not just a patient to her, you're a person and no two people are alike and she listens and helps when you need it! Dr Kronhaus is lucky to have her! He is a great Dr and his PA Kristin is excellent as well. His office staff tries their very best to accommodate all patients questions and needs as best they can! Dr Kronhaus takes extra time with each patient and he is well worth waiting for!

Initial visit went not so bad must admit I was checked in ways never been checked before. The doctor changed two dosages on medications no scripts issued an appointment was set for stress test. I was called before stress test told not to take my metformin day of test knowing how this affects me my wife used a day of PTO to go with me. Just as we are leaving call received treadmill is broken do not come we can not give new date yet. I called on Thurs morn to check status told machine not fixed yet. I also requested RX"s as meds increased are running low told by nurse doctor had only told me to up one med I was told doctor will call you. This doctor is so higly recommended by a local radio personality. I went to see him because of a terrible family history I have sought a doctor to put my mind at ease.

Great physician. Very caring and considerate. Brillant guy.
