Dr. Kenneth Waikeung Mak, MD

THE WORST doctor i have ever been to. he is the reason why i can no longer hear out of my left ear. refused to listen when I asked to get treatment and forced me to wait a month. waiting that month caused my hearing loss to be almost permanent and he refuses to hold himself accountable. THIS MAN DOES NOT CARE ABOUT HIS PATIENTS OR HIS JOB.

Lack of knowledge on his own specialty and no manners. I wish I had searched him before putting my child under his care.

I was referred to Dr. Mak and went to the appointment hoping it would go well as some of the reviews had mentioned and not as badly as the negative reviews said. Unfortunately, it went much like the negative reviews said. He seemed very condescending and treated me like I was stupid for seeing him instead of a different type of doctor, when I was just following my doctor's orders. I could understand telling a patient that he didn't think he could help them and they needed to be sent elsewhere, but I can't understand treating a patient like they are stupid for it and belittling their symptoms and concerns. I didn't feel like he was willing to listen to me, he didn't ask any questions to find out more about what was going on, and didn't seem to thoroughly go over all 3 of my ultrasound reports. It was a very bad experience and I would not recommend this doctor, especially to patients that place a high value on compassion and a doctor who will listen and take their concerns into… consideration.

I presented with pulsatile tinnitus explaining to Dr. Mak that I hear beating and pounding that is rhythmic, loud and synchronous with my heartbeat causing me to have insomnia. He examined my ears, nose and throat. He said I would need to have an MRI of Brain Stem w/o and with contrast. I mentioned that my PCP already recommended this procedure and it was approved and scheduled. When I asked politely if the procedure could be done without contrast alone as I was concerned about having an allergic reaction, he immediately raised his voice shouting, â??You donâ??t understand. It has to be done with and without contrast.â?? When asking if the pulsatile tinnitus was objective or subjective, he seemed annoyed and reluctantly went to get a stethoscope. After placing the stethoscope bell on my neck, he said, â??I hear a heartbeat, you have subjective tinnitus.â?? He also mentioned that pulsatile tinnitus is incurable which I already knew was incorrect. He did not offer me any remedies… that might alleviate my discomfort and insomnia. Dr. Mak is inclined to be condescending, dismissive and unprofessional in his manner, therefore, I would not recommend him . Look for an ENT specialist who reveals his findings without hesitation, suggests the appropriate imaging needed and discusses outcomes that might lead to a cure.

WOW! what a great experience i had with this doctor today. He was absolutely amazing with my Son. My Son has anxiety of doctors and dr mak was truly amazing with my son. I will bring my other kids to this doctor now. I cant believe people would say he isnt a good doctor, hes fantastic! Office staff is awesome as well. The front desk Girl Nikki is pretty fantastic, she was great with my son as well. I give this office 5 stars all around! Thanks Dr mak. I look forward to bringing my other children to you.

Dr mak is totally awesome and hes great! HE EXPLANIED ALL MY ISSUES AND HELPED ME OUT SOO MUCH. I would recommend him to anyone! Hes fantastic and so his his office stafe! Nikki at the front desk is amazing! I recommend all my family and friends , Thanks Dr MAK ;)

He did not take me / my problem seriously. Did not exam me for my problem prior to sending me home. I was chocking on my blood, thought I was going to Die. He used such force when packing my nose he put a hole threw my nose called a deviated septum. And my jaw is still out of place. I wear a brace to try to fix that, but not working well. hurts to chew and even more painful when I Yawn. My follow up, my instructions were not to blow my nose to hard and don't be stupid like the others and ask how hard is to hard. Then sent me home. Never examined up my nose nothing sent me out with dried blood and tape marks all across my face. Truly traumatized! Still Traumatized ! And still suffering. Worst experience of my life. I even had a oversized bath towels soaked with blood. He seen no reason for me to be bleeding when he looked up one side of my bloody nose. He made me choke and swallow my blood trying to get air. I have witnesses and pictures. I Rate this Dr with minuses I front of those… stars.

Did not have good bedside manner's. Did not feel that he gave options to treat my illness.

Whats up with other reviews. This guy was freaking awsome and so informing!! He tole me i had a deviated septum. I let him know i want cosmwtic rhinoplasty and he gave me a bunch of info on what i should know. Was really cool and such a fun personality. Thanks doctor mak !(:

Dr Mak did NOT listen to me. I went in with multifaceted concerns. He started to ask me my symptoms, but he quickly interrupted me with his diagnosis without listening to the whole scope of my issues. He then went on a tangent about allergies. He was very condescending and dismissive. The wonderful and caring staff is the only reason I even gave one star.
