Dr. Kenneth Charles Manfre

I had been to Dr. Manfre once before for a regular visit and thought he was a bit gruff, but I figured since I only do this once a year, God willing, no big deal. However, my last visit to him 2 weeks ago will be my last ever. I sat in the waiting room and listened to a loud, angry Dr. Manfre during what was obviously a personal phone call regarding his finances, including what he pays his staff. So glad he had one other patient, and a chance to calm down, before he was examining me! Let's skip to the breast exam, during which his cell phone rang, he pulled it out of his pocket, answered it and walked out of the room without a word to continue his personal finance discussion - leaving the door wide open and me exposed in all my glory. At least he apologized when he returned... After he had completed the pap portion of the visit, he gruffly told me to "get up." He then just walked out of the room without another word. See ya next year? I think not...

He is a very coarse man...rough around the edges is a big understatement. If you are into efficiency and don't care about chit-chat and niceties or even comfort...this is the doctor for you. On the other hand, the office staff was very nice which helped ease the abrasive atmosphere. However the office was a little dirty. I won't be returning.

When Dr. Y retired he referred me to Dr. Manfre. Dr. Manfre is is kind and knowledgeable. He likes to be the doctor that delivers his patients children. He is punctual and thorough. He doesn't have to be the most social person, it's not a social appointment. I will say that if there is something wrong, he won't miss it. Great doctor, I stick to that opinion because that has been my experience. Thank you, and have a nice day!

I was referred to Dr. Manfre from my original doctor that had retired. He had big shoes to fill, but I went in with an open mind. HE WAS HORRIBLE! There's something to be said about his bedside manner. I was a new patient so I thought he would give me a little extra care. Not so. Also, after my exam he didn't offer his hand to help me up and then walked out and opened the door while I was still on the table. Horrible experience and I will NOT be going back.

I was warned that Dr. Manfre's bedside manner was less than stellar by a friend who was a former patient but I never expected to be talked down to, treated rudely and certainly didn't anticipate leaving such a routine exam so sore and embarrassed.
