Dr. Kenneth Lawrence Mccormick JR., MD

He is a wonderful physician and my son LOVES him. He's very easygoing but thorough. The wait times are terrible. I have never been to his office when I didn't spend 1 1/2 - 2 1/2 hours waiting for a 10 minute visit with LPN for vital signs, visit with intern, then visit with Dr. McCormick. Poor time management. Also, have never had a good experience with the Lab. I don't use them any longer. I use the one in our city. Much better.

The student physician or nurse practitioner should at least carry some form of a chart/record into the room. Important medical information is being discussed without anything close by to refer to. You would think that the physician would insist on this longtime practice.

The office staff are horrible. No smiles, no hello, so robotic. The staff today was Bridgette. Maybe it was an off day for her but for my experience with this office it is a regular occurrence. I arrived at 12:45. My appointment was at 1:15. I was called at 1:25 to answer questions at the front desk. They never have my information on file. They were unable to find my regular physician in the database. At 2:00 we finally saw the doctor's nurse. I asked her a question for her to investigate and she said she would get back to me before my office visit ended but she never did. A student doctor came in and asked all kinds of questions, nice enough, but she did not have our medical file and asked me when our last bone scan was done, when our prescription has changed, etc. All of this information should have been in the file in front of them. The same thing rang true again when the doctor came in. He did not have our file in front of him. While I believe he is doing a good job I… am disappointment because I feel like we are a number in his office. They spend as much time with you as you need but basically if you answer all of the questions right you are out of there. I can't help but believe that there are more factors than just the medicine to be considered when trying to help these kids grow. I plan to get a second opinion and try out another doctor. I may be back but I will feel better knowing that I am doing all that I can do to help my child achieve the maximum growth height. One final note. They give me a return appointment every year during the time that my kids are out on school break. Every year they cancel the appointment and have to reschedule bc this is when the doctor takes his vacation. Could he not plan the same dates, year after year, ahead of time. I wish they would work more with families trying to help kids miss less time from school. We have to drive to the office from another state.
