Dr. Kenneth Robert Mcgrath, DDS

Dr. Kenneth R. McGrath (Ken) grew up in South Louisiana and attended McNeese University with a dual major in biology and chemistry. While attending he was active in student government and was the president of his Kappa Alpha Fraternity chapter. He attended Louisiana State University’s School of Dentistry in New Orleans where he completed an independent study in dental implants with the graduate prosthodontics program head. He also was a research associate in the department of physiology, co authoring two scientific articles.
Since graduating Dr. McGrath has continued his education, completing programs at the Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education, The Dawson Center for Advanced Dentistry, and the Seattle Institute of Dental Education. He has well over a thousand hours of post graduate continuing education concentrating on implant, esthetic and reconstructive dentistry. He practiced eight years in Lexington, Virginia before establishing his practice in Cornelius, …North Carolina in 1995.
Dr. McGrath is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry as well as a member of the American Dental Association, the North Carolina Dental Society, and the International Team for Implantology and the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine as well as various implant and restorative study clubs. He is a member of the North Mecklenburg Rotary Club where he has served many roles including International Service Director and the North Mecklenburg Chamber of Commerce.
When not involved in dentistry Dr. McGrath enjoys traveling, gardening, artisan bread baking, wine, technology and his guitar. He is married to Carla and they have one son named Llyr.
