Dr. Kenneth Dean Mcmains, MD

Kenneth McMains, MD is an Adjunct Associate Professor in the College of Public Health at the University of Iowa and an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Des Moines University. He is trained in the area of Independent Medical Evaluations (IME) and Impairment Ratings and has been performing these evaluations for more than 20 years. He is also a certified Medical Review Officer (MRO) and has been so for more than 15 years. Dr. McMains' past experience as an emergency services physician, family practitioner for rural communities, diabetes educator, and mental health director complement his expertise in assisting businesses with their most valuable assets - their employees. His dedication to occupational and environmental safety and health is evident in his involvement and commitment as the Chairman of the Residency Advisory Committee for Occupational Medicine Residents at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
