Dr. Kenneth Andrew Morcos, MD

I have used this practice for 20 years and the last doctor I saw for a skin condition was Dr. Morcos. However, since I do not come to the doctors frequently, they dumped me into the "new" patient pool and refused to allow me to see my doctor, for a follow-up! Dr Morcos may be book smart, but obviously is too stupid or greedy to get out from under the control of big brother, Atrium. Isn't it interesting they keep changing their name. First Charlotte Memorial, then CMC, now Atrium. What are they hiding from? Bad patient management? Bad service? Malpractice? Stay away from this company. This is just plain bad.

I waited so long in the room after the nurse saw me I had to step out to remind someone I was there. He just read me statistics , forgot to give me my results on a in office tests. Then I had to call weeks later to get lab results that should have been mailed. This doctor did not address my health concerns or recommend any other doctor who could help me. Very unprofessional. I felt like he was in a hurry and didn't really have time for me.

Don't waste your time, look for another doctor.

I mentioned some of my conditions and the next visit he did some major research on doctors I could see. I am very impressed with him.

I have seen this doctor about 4 times and he seems to not know his job. Having high blood pressure and not much health insurance, I feel like most of his information he tells me is incorrect.

I am a patient of another doctor at this practice and was fit into Dr. Morcos' schedule fo a sick visit. I found him to be very caring, empathetic, and thorough. He explained to me the pros and cons of treating what may be a viral infection. I liked that he didn't just slap a presciption in my hands and shoo me out the door. I don't like to take medicine (especially an antibiotic) unless I have to, and he gave me alternative treatment ideas to try for 3 days as well as a presciption so I could decide. Ultimately, I didn't take the presciption because I felt better. I really likes his approach and information that he gave me...and the options to do what I wanted in the end. Really nice doctor. Wait time was a little long, but I figured it's because I was getting worked into his schedule

One of the most important things to me is the time a doctor is willing to spend with the patient. Most rush through visits due to the pressure to see as many people as possible, but not Dr. Morcos. He will spend as much time as needed to understand your concerns.

Almost un-doctor-like for the time he winds up spending with me when he says he won't be able to. Chummy and personable, loves to share a lot of what he knows, both about my condition and about choices in meds to deal with it. In fact, he may be a little on the scrip-happy end of the spectrum but I like him a lot.

When Dr, Morcos moved from a practice near my home to a practice twenty minutes further away, I had no hesitation in transferring. I have never had a bad experience with Dr. Morcos. He has treated me with respect, listened thoughtfully to what I had to say, and dealt with me as a partner in my own care. He has never rushed me through an appointment.On the occasions when I or someone in my family has presented with an unusual symptom, he has been diligent in exploring all the possibilities to arrive at a logical explanation. This is not to say that he is quick to recommend expensive and unnecessary procedures - in suggesting treatments, he will point out insurance costs and possible benefits to help the patient make an informed decision.Based on my limited experience with prescriptions from him, he seems to prefer to avoid prescribing medicine when there's a question of whether it's truly necessary, or when other therapies such as diet or lifestyle changes might be an appropriate… first line of defense.When Dr. Morcos doesn't know the answer to a question, he will admit it and research it until he has one. On a recent visit I had a question about a mild skin condition. It didn't conform to the usual presentation, so while I was speaking to a nurse about other issues, he looked through his resources and got the information we needed. I appreciate a doctor who is willing to learn new things to improve my care.Dr. Morcos follows up via phone as needed. Turnaround time on a recent call to inquire about an unexpected (but unimportant) test result was about 24-36 hours.I'd recommend Dr. Morcos as a competent and thoughtful doctor. I'm not crazy about the longer drive to see him, but the quality of care is worth it.

I have never experienced anything like this in my entire life. The doctor had no idea on what he just recently prescribed and his staff is not much brighter. No follow up or call backs. Let me not waste my time typing any further.......
