Dr. Kenneth W Nelson, MD

The only reason I gave this quack of a surgeon a star is because at least one was "required" to post this review. I went to "Dr". Nelson's west office and was treated horribly. His assistant/nurse was hateful and a snot. As if smiling would crack her stone face. "Dr." Nelson is THE Dentist/surgeon that will keep you from ever getting dental treatment again. I was having one tooth removed, got the shot for numbing and he started in immediately. I attempted to pull my head away and his "nurse" pushed me down in the chair. I was NOT numb at all! I was feeling every bit of pain he was causing. I have had dental extractions, root canals and fillings before and I know that the dentist would normally wait a good 15 minutes or so for the shot to kick in and numb but not this jerk! I have never had any pain from any dental procedures before but what I experienced at this guy's hand was excruciating. When I asked him to numb it, his reply was "I already gave you one shot, I can't give you… anymore." Unfortunately he had caused enough damage (to the tooth and nerve) initially that I had to go through with the extraction. I have never experienced something so unethical before in my life. His so called bed side manner is mean and it's as if he enjoys inflicting pain and suffering. After all was said and done, I wasn't even given any pain medication afterwards. A week later, my jaw and face was still so swollen from what he inflicted on me. I had to go to my own physician to have it looked at and receive pain medication. I have done some research on this clown, after contacting the Dental Board. Seems there has been MANY complaints about his unethical treatment of patients and many dentists won't even refer patients to him because of this. So beware of this guy. I wouldn't go back to him if you held a gun to my head.
