Dr. Kenneth David Novak, MD

I recently made an appointment for a consultation regarding cataract surgery with Dr. Novak's office and was told what to bring and that the appointment would be at 1:00 pm and last about two hours. When I arrived about 10 minutes early, I was given a number of forms to fill out and sign. I then waited for 1 hour. During that time, no one came to look for me or offer me any options for the long wait. In other doctors offices when this happens I am usually given a reason and offered options such as re-scheduling or seeing another doctor. While in line to tell the receptionist I wouldn't wait any longer, someone called my name & took me into an office. The person only apologized after I complained about the wait. I was told(repeatedly) that it was a busy office and it was not unusual to have such a long wait. This attitude is unacceptable! If I were to arrived 2 hours late for an appointment, I'm sure I would have been told that I would have to reschedule. I had been looking forward to… meeting Dr. Novak because I had heard good things, but If this is the way he runs his practice I'm no longer interested. This attitude shows the staff thinks that my time is not important, at least not as important as that of the Doctors in the office. This was not an emergency( which I would fully understand), rather the way the office does their scheduling....to make patients wait. There Is also no way that I was able to find on the Doctor's website to comment or email. I'm sorry I wasted my time and it is regretful that I felt compelled to write this review.

Dr. Novak has done two cataract surgeries on me now. Both had no complications. I have advanced glaucoma and he could have sent me to another doctor, a glaucoma specialist, but he did my surgeries himself to save me the very long trip to another doctor. I live in a very small town far away from cities. I can see better than ever and highly recommend Dr. Novak. He's quiet but business like and a very good surgeon. I should know.

The best eye surgeon in area. Never had a more responsible, serious doctor than him.

Dr. Novak is incredibly capable and willing to spend whatever time is needed to explain very complicated issues to me in a manner in which I can understand.
