Dr. Kenneth Brian Pugar, DO

This dr. Is one of a kind!!! He is so into knowing all details of his patient and repeats back to you what he feels and has said to you . He’s a gem. He cares. He’s a teacher too. I love him!

Dr. Pugar must be totally clueless in how his office is being run, otherwise he would be cleaning house and hiring a new and competent staff. From the schedulers to the front office to the billing staff, there wasn't one employee who was the slightest bit helpful. Maybe if all of them were hooked up to a constant Midol IV drip, the atmosphere would be more pleasant. The patients aren't the enemy, ladies! Do yourself a favor and RUN, don't walk, away from this practice!!

I left another neurologist to try Dr Pugars practice about 5 years ago. I had no faith in the diagnosis from my prior physician. Doc Pugar took his time investigating my situation and came to a diagnosis I believe in. He has treated me better than any doctor I have encountered and I have had quite a few of varying specialties. I have referred this doctor to multiple other people all whom have been extremely satisfied as well. He takes a long time to get in for the initial appointment but is worth the wait. You can confidently choose Doc Pugar as your neurologist and know you will have a valid diagnosis and he genuinely cares for his patients. He takes a lot of time with me for every single visit and is a joy to go in to see even when you generally would dread going to any doctor. I look forward to being a patient of his practice for as many years as I live in this area and have the neuro issues I have. :) Best of luck!

I found Dr. Pugar to be pleasant and interested in helping me at the time of my appointment. However, after my appointment and testing I received no test results or further suggestions for diagnosis/treatment. I had to call to get my test results which for what he checked were negative. I still have my symptoms and no plan of action or recommendations of what to do. They gave me no direction other than to come to a follow-up appointment months later. What am I following up? When I called for my results, I was treated poorly. It was like it was an inconvience of the nurse's time. As I said, Dr. Pugar was fine at the time of the appointment. Possibly there is nothing else he could provide for me. However, I should have received phone call a all explaining that and a suggestion of some sort such as seeing my family docor again. I have been dealing with my symptoms for a long time and it would be nice of someone woould actually help me. I would give Dr. Pugar a B or C, but his staff… a D. Doctors, nurses, and the office staff are supposed to provide a service, We are the customer. We pay you. If we say we need help, you should not brush us off and say wait unitl your follow-up.

Dr. Pugar seems very smart, which is a great thing to see in your doctor. However, I didn't feel like he gave me the chance to explain symptoms that I had be referred to him for. He wanted to focus on one thing, but there are many things contributing to my illness. I had some testing done, it has been 3 weeks and I have received no correspondence fromt he office. When I called to check the results, he was out of the office for a week. I even asked for a follow up vs the "no news is good news" philosophy they normally use. I have not received any guidance or diagnosis. This is extremely upsetting after dealing with my symptoms for almost a year. Please, return your patients calls and give them feedback. What is the point of your patient portal if the only information you upload is their bill?

It has been a relief to finally find a doctor who is actually willing to diagnos a problem thru facts from testing rather than guessing. Dr. pugar has shown his personal desire to get to the bottom of whats wrong not just treat the systems. Keep up the great work.
