He received his undergraduate education at Lehigh University, dental degree from Temple University and completed his orthodontic residency at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Purvis is a member of such professional organizations as the American Association of Orthodontists, World Federation of Orthodontists, Great Lakes Society of Orthodontists, Western Pennsylvania Society of Orthodontists and the Western Pennsylvania Study Group.
