Dr. Kenneth Norman Rogers, MD

I am an older RN,he has been with my family for over 40 years. I haved worked with him on a professional basis and he gently cared for my parents until death.I can't imagine where the negative comments come from.

Doctor obviously and immediately seemed to dislike me. Dismissive of all statements of symptoms, all diagnosis from other doctors, rushed us out.

My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Rogers for 10+ years. While I agree his manner can be "curt", I have always found him to be concerned, comprehensive and professional. His medical advise has been accurate. Contrary to some other comments here, I have never found him uncaring, inattentive, or medically inadequate. Once when my husband was bitten by a poisonous insect, Dr. Rogers provided the correct diagnosis after the Urgent Care doctor did not. I have to admit I take care of myself--I am not overweight, I exercise, I eat right, and for the one chronic condition I have I religiously take my medicine. When I have had concerns that required a specialist, he was fine to refer me. He has helped me understand the opinions of those specialists. I do believe that some patients have trouble dealing with the news from a doctor about how to improve and manage their health--the patient should be the pro-active first line of care. I am glad that my doctor requires an annual visit to… get a prescription refill, because you never know what he might find that you did not recognize and it is good to check in with a primary care provider on a regular basis, even if you are healthy. Some day you might not be and it is good for the doctor to know you before that.

He has taken highly rated care of me and my husband for over 20 years. He is thorough, listens, explains and is caring. This is why we 'have' stayed with him.

Complete disregard for my medical issues. He's irritable and selfish. Stay away.

I can't believe these reviews I've read can be about my doctor. Dr. Rogers always listens and is very helpful and understanding in basic issues that I bring up to him. He always asks if there is anything more that I am concerned about. I am only leaving because I am turning 65 and he doesn't accept Pres. Senior Care which I am required to change to. His nurse has always been friendly and caring with me. I have been under their care for about 25 years. My husband also had to switch from him when he turned 65. We credit Dr. Rogers with finding an abnormality with his heart that probably saved his life when he sent him to a cardiologist who diagnosed a blockage in a coronary artery that was a heart attack waiting to happen. I hope other regular patients of his will see this page and write a review too. He is a very good doctor, and I will miss him.

I DO NOT recommend going to him. It is just a waist of your time and money. Find another doctor as soon as you can. The service isnt good at all and they are just flat out rude.

I have been seeing Dr. Rogers for over 3 years now and he has always been competent and caring (not overly so, but he has always shown empathy towards my medical concerns). He has never been condescending towards me and considers my opinion when it comes to my medical needs.

Dr. Roger's staff is extremely courteous and helpful, and his approach to patients is straight-forward, however, I strongly recommend that anyone considering FIND ANOTHER PHYSICIAN. As a doctor myself I have very strong ethical concerns about how Dr. Rogers practices medicine, specifically, his refusal to refill maintenance medications for chronic conditions if more than one year has passed since a patient's last full physical. He claims that his office sends appointment notices, however, none were received. I can understand this in the case of suspected drug- seeking behavior, or narcotics of course, but this is totally unethical behavior in a primary care situation. In addition, his hostility in these situations brings his professionalism into question. I doubt that Dr. Rogers will be in practice for many more years, but as of today he will have one more open spot for a new patient. Personally though, I will not be sending any of my professional or personal acquaintances to… him or to Southwest Medical Center (although to be fair, I am not certain that this colleagues practice in the same manner). If I could give him no stars instead of one star, I would. BTW - current medical literature shows that yearly physicals are unnecessary in the majority of healthly patients with well-managed conditions (i.e. being overweight, chronic depression, etc). Even paps are not required yearly unless the patient has had abnormal results in the past several years.

TERRIBLE !!!!!! Please don't subject yourself to this waste of space! He is SO condisending and when u feel like you are at your WORST somehow he makes you feel worse by treating you like a waste of his time and a complete IDIOT!! Wouldn't send my worst enemy to see him
