Dr. Kenneth C Sands, MD

I have had nothing but top level surgery from Dr.Sands and the whole staff. After being refused by three other ORTHOPEDIC SURGEON S I was referred to Dr. Sands who excepted me ,a 73 yr. Old, overweight for a total hip replacement. The catch or compilation is that in1965 my thigh was crushed in a motorcycle accident . The doctor inserted a 18” rod from my knee to my hip ball. Being in the center of the bone for that many years the original removal process would not work. Dr. Sands successfully removed the old rod and installed the total hip replacement. I received what I considered to be excellent care by Dr. Sands, his nurses, hospital staff and everyone involved with the procedure. Thanks to Dr. Sands for giving my life back. C. B. F.

Dr Sands listened and answer all questions clearly and decisively. I did not feel rushed so He could get to his next patient. I had total knee replacement and I am well on my way to full and complete recovery in only 9 days. Every Nurse or PT attendant I had spoke extremely highly of Dr Sands and His Staff

Unlike any other office in the area. The PA’s are wonderful, the surgical schedulers are knowledgeable and extremely helpful and of course Dr Sands is amazing and gifted

Dr Sands revised my knee replacement. I had it done by another surgeon and continued to have pain and instability. Finally my therapist recommended Dr Sands. Fantastic experience. He gave me back my life. Thank you Dr Sands, Joe and Angelique.

I have had 2 surgeries with Dr Sands. One knee replacement and one hip replacement. I am so pleased with my results. I asked around before seeing him and I have to say that he and his staff lived up to their reputation. Dr sands has a very calming way about him and you instantly feel like you are in good hands. PA Joe and PA Angelique are terrific. I also want to compliment Nurse May at the hospital. She is the Ortho coordinator. Extremely helpful. And last but not least, I wouldn’t have gotten through all the pre-op hurdles with out the guidance of Dr Sands scheduler Jennifer. The whole team is a breath of fresh air for this area.

There is two sides to every story, and people have different experiences with doctors. For all the patients who were treated well and give Dr Sands glowing reviews, good for you. However, that is not everybody’s experience, so don’t discount other people experience when you know nothing about it. I wish our experiences could be positive or even remotely acceptable, unfortunately they are not even in that realm. Worst doctor experience by far, not even close. Please do your own research in this man and find out why he has been banned from performing surgeries elsewhere. Find out how many surgeries he conducts weekly. Find out how many of his patients have ever seen him after his he does your surgery. Find out just these 3 things for yourself. If you still want this man as your doctor, than whatever your outcome is, that is all on you. Personally, I would look elsewhere, but as the saying goes, “there is a sucker born every minute”. Regardless of our specific… incomprehensibly horrible experiences, Dr Sands will retire early with lots and lots of money, but at some point he will have to confront his maker and explain himself.....,no ill will here, but I really wouldn’t want to be him on that day (and thereafter). Just do your own due diligence and extensive research prior to allowing this man to conduct surgery on you or a loved one. Hopefully, you will not have our experience with this doctor, good luck and good health either way!

Left knee replaced nearly one year ago. No issues before during or after surgery. Could not gone any better. 100% pleased. I selected him as my doctor from a list the VA offered me to pick from. I picked him based on other people's recommendations who had their knee replaced by him. Highly recommend.

Great job! Best surgeon in Central Florida. I love my knee and my hip. Dr Sands is a rare talented and compassionate surgeon.

I have to respond because apparently you can say or write anything without any facts or anyway to verify your statement. I have been a patient of Dr Sands for 7 years and I have had 2 surgeries. I know for a fact that he follows up with his patients after knee or hip replacement surgery. It is part of his routine. You will see either Dr Sands or his PA a couple of times during your initial post op, and then he asks you to return at the one year mark. Any suggestion otherwise is false. As far as abandonment, I have known Dr Sands for quite some time. That is not his style. Sometimes surgeries may have complications, and that is understandable. Sometimes the wait to see him is long. But character wise, he is amazing. He also happens to be an amazing surgeon.

Post operative complications, refuse to see my father after mess up the patient knee. The complication lead to more complications.
