Dr. Kenneth Martin Sigman, MD

Dr. Sigman performed an endoscopic ultrasound on my pancreas. I first met him at Grandview prior to this procedure. He was very kind, and explained the procedure and asked if I had questions. When I got to the operating room, he was very nice and I noticed he had a good sense of humor, thus helping me relax before the procedure. After the procedure, he met with my family and took plenty of time explaining his findings. IMy surgeon recommended him highly. I would highly reccomend him, also.

I have read some bad reviews on Dr.Sigman's bedside manner but, I couldn't have asked for a better first impression or last. He is the man to see if you need a EUS or ERCP. He was very nice when I woke up and before I left. I can't say enough good about the man. I would highly recommend him any day of the week. 5 stars from me. Thank you very much if you're reading this Dr.Sigman. No Pancreatitis after a ERCP is the best gift you'll ever get from a doctor. ??????????

I would not spit on this man if he were on fire. Treated my 84 year old grandmother worse than he would treat a rabid dog. She has been in the hospital for 7 days without food or water and a possible cancer diagnosis. When he finally graced us with his presence on day 7, we had a question about what he said, and he responded with "I don't repeat myself." He is an embarrassment to the St. Vincent's healthcare system, and he is being reported to the Alabama state medical board. Complete contradiction of HIPAA and ethics code.

Rude, condescending and disgusting human being. Run as fast as you can away from Dr. Sigman.

Worse Dr I have ever seen. Puts a note on records that CT is abnormal and then takes 5 days to tell you that there was a mistake. Asked about blood work results and what to do next and he finally writes back after 7 days to say that there is nothing wrong with me. How can I be hospitalized 3x in 2 years for chronic pancreatitis, suffer from retinopathy , seen by head of internal medicine at UAB, go from a 5 A1C to 15 A1C, and insulin dependent diabetic on a pump using 70 units/day insulin, but its ok, my pancreas is fine. And I am not sick. What a quack and the worse bedside manners I have witnessed in a so called Dr.

I had a bad experience with Dr. Sigman. His beeper kept going off as I was trying to explain my history and symptoms, and he looked at it each time. I clearly got the sense he was in a rush and didn't have time to listen to my full story. Finally, he cut me off and told me to lay on the table. After some poking and prodding, he proceeded to tell me his diagnosis and then said, "I'm sorry, I must go. The nurse will be in to schedule you for a CT scan and bloodwork." I had so many questions, and he basically walked out of the exam room, leaving me completely stunned and bewildered. I know specialists are very busy, but most doctors I've been to at least stay in the exam room until they've answered your questions. Dr. Sigman's bedside manner not only bordered on very rude and arrogant, but he left me hanging with so many questions. I ended up following up with a different GI at a different practice and was very glad I did.

Dr. Sigman is very uncaring, he has done more damage to my husband then good. He does not do follow ups when he places colon stints. He is not available to answer questions on procedure he has done. He is not friendly acts like he can do no wrong. Well I have watched my husband suffer and can't get any answers. His bed side manor is horrible. If you use him Hope you have no questions before or after procedure.

Following an endoscopy on my 85 year old father, Dr. Sigman was abrupt, rude and uncaring. He repeatedly answered my questions by saying, I was here to do a procedure not a consult. If you have further questions you need to go back to his internist and request a consult. We did get a consult, but NOT with Dr. Sigman.
