Dr. Kenneth A Steingold, MD

I cannot say enough about Dr. Steingold and his office staff. He takes the time to meet with his patients, never feeling rushed. He takes the time to explain each procedure and detail so there is never any doubts or questions. He makes each experience personal. We were blessed to have a son and now a daughter on the way thanks to him!!! You will not find a better physician, person, or human. We were so blessed to have found him!!!

My comment is 27 years late, but my experience with Dr Steingold is still very much fresh in my mind. There are not enough superlatives in existence to describe what it was like to have him as my fertility doctor. I will try! After years of unsuccessfully trying to get pregnant working with another fertility doctor, I found Dr Steingold. I called to make an initial appointment, I was tod that I would have to wait for awhile. I began to cry over the phone, clearly very distraught and fragile after experiencing failure after failure for years. I was called back immediately, and was told that Dr. Steingold could see me the next day!!!!! My initial impression of him was that he was clearly a very compassionate doctor, who sensed my pain and loss The initial consultation was unhurriedly, and Dr. Steingold immediately calmed me down, outlined a treatment plan, and offered me renewed hope. I became pregnant after 6 cycles, and I have never experienced such joy in my life. His entire office… was cheering for me. During the failed cycles, Dr Steingold always phoned me to ask me if I needed support, to talk, and to reiterate his hope for a successful pregnancy. I always felt his investment in me not only as his patient, but as a human being who was desperate to have a baby. His kindness never failed to amaze me, as well as his problem solving skills. I am a man reviewing Steingold. While he may be fine for women, his manner with men and consideration for their feelings with respect to the whole process and its education is subpar to say the least. I would strongly suggest for the men to realize their feelings before the process and anticipate and talk about feelings after the process. I am left without a soul after my wife's procedure. Men in his office are treated like a sperm donor without respect to their part in the whole pregnancy equation.

I have been going to Dr. Steingold for over a year for my infertility and have been very disappointed. 2 of my friends also went there, and even though we are not the same person, the treatments were essentially the same, as if it's some cookbook medicine. He might be getting lots of patients pregnant just because he's seeing lots of patients, but I don't think you'll get any results fast. Also, he usually doesn't remember your case, and doesn't order complete testing to make a diagnosis. I guess he doesn't need to make a diagnosis if he's treating everyone with a cookbook!

I saw Dr. Steingold for over a year for my infertility. He did not do complete baseline testing. After a whole year and cycles of clomid, letrozole, and FSH shots, and AFTER I asked for tests for my ovarian reserves, he finally ordered the tests and found that I am peri-menopausal at the age of 34! I really wish I knew this a whole year earlier and pursued more aggressive treatments earlier on. His nurses lack basic knowledge of GYN care. Twice I called for lab results and would be told by the nurse that my results were normal, when they were absolutely not normal. If I didn't know any better, I wouldn't have questioned, and would have further delayed my diagnosis. Also, some treatment decisions were delegated to the nurses, which is quite dangerous. After one round of FSH shots, and I unfortunately did not get pregnant, I called the office and the nurse immediately determined that I needed another round of shots and needed a baseline ultrasound scan, without even consulting… with the doctor. This practice is scary--STAY AWAY!
