Dr. Kenneth Scott Vereschagin, MD

Dr. Vereschagin does not follow protocol and is extremely insensitive about patients' emotional health. When I was recovering from anorexia, he insisted on telling me my weight, even after my mother, my primary doctor, and I asked him not to several times. He also does not wear gloves during examinations.

Dr. Vereschagin has been taking care of my two sons since they were born. They are now in college and doing quite well. He has been an excellent pediatrician throughout the years. Dr. Vereschagin and his staff have giving us excellent care. We can always count on being taken care of completely with all our medical needs. Blake and Paul both think highly of you! Thank you Dr. V!

I personally have not had any bad experiences with Dr. V. He is always caring, always knowledgeable and spends all the time we need and answers all questions. I am suprised to see the negative reviews, because I have never experienced any of those issues, and this is my first child. My husband comes to every appointment my son has, and they chat about everything as my husband always has many questions, and he always takes his time and answers them till we understand. My husband is extremely critical of everyone and he absolutely loves Dr. V. Great Pediatrician!

Dr. V was our second opinion when my son was diagnosed with asthma. He asked good questions (e.g., what kinds of tests did the first doctor run). I was impressed with his wanting the facts. However,-- He checked his pager every 2-3 minutes during a 15 minute appointment.-- He wouldn't listen to my input about my child. God help you if you don't have hard facts, but a "suspicion". He will crucify your motherly "instincts". -- He was condescending to his nurses. I don't need to be hand-held as a parent, but I have the right to a courteous interaction and respect.We've since found another pediatrician at PAMF. Love the office team, just won't deal with Dr. V again. My son deserves better.

It seems he doesn't really care about pediatrics. I feel like he's only in pediatrics to work with young people in sports medicine which is his specialty. He always has a long wait, and when we are seen by him our questions are rushed. Half the time it looks like he's ready to run out the door as soon as the exam is over. I don't think he looks at the questionnaire forms we are required to fill out because I have indicated certain medical concerns (i.e. post-partum depression) and he never once addressed it at an appointment. If he misses that on a form I've filled out that is supposed to help him with thoroughness of the appointment, then what things are he failing to go over with me that I might not even know about? He's a nice guy and I'm sure he's a wonderful sports medicine doctor, but I don't think he's a good choice for working with a baby.

We took our daughter in for wheezing/coughing. Our regular pediatrician was out that day, so they scheduled us with this guy. Instead of doing any tests or addressing the issue, he spent the whole time telling us that our daughter wouldn't have gotten her sick if we didn't have her in day care, and the only solution was for me to stop working and stay home "like i am supposed to"!!! I was furious. We left with absolutely no actions on how to help my daughter. She was diagnosed with Asthma soon thereafter, when she had several back to back attacks. If this guy hadn't been so busy judging us, he might have been able to prescibe the albuterol much earlier, when my daughter needed it.

I have three grown sons and one later in life daughter. I have many years of experience with pediatricians, good and bad. Dr. V has been a very good doctor. He isn't warm and fuzzy, but he's kind. He gets to the point when answering our questions or concerns and provides us with the information we need. I don't need a doctor to cuddle me, I need honest help for my child. I notice the poor reviews are newer parents. After some experience with other doctors, they will likely come to appreciate Dr. V a little more.
