Dr. Kent Steven Hesse, MD

The initial first time appointment lasted ten minutes. Ten minutes and he knew what was happening with me. Dr. Hesse is ncredibly invalidating with his responses. He asked why I was on a medication for 5 years that I hated. I have medication anxiety and a complex trauma background. It took me years to ask for help from a doctor to change my meds. He had me so flustered I could not explain this to him. After I mentioned that I forgot my therapy appointment that past week he said, "You forgot an appointment that you go to every week...?" Yes, my memory is affected by my childhood and developmental trauma (complex trauma) that I endured, plus medication side effects (brain fog). I didn't need to go to medical school to know that. Who judges someone like that? Worst prescriber I have ever met. He doesn't care for your background at all. Go somewhere else.

Dr. Hesse was so warm and friendly, he won our son right over! The remedies he prescribed really helped our son. Even his teachers noticed and commented on the shift. We highly recommend Dr. Hesse!

Dr. Hesse is a wonderful family doctor. He is so warm and kind with my children (aged 5 and 8). The little one always wants to draw pictures for Dr. Hesse in the waiting room! The office has a very child-friendly atmosphere, with toys, picture books, and a table with beeswax crayons and paper for drawing. I feel very confident in the good care my children receive from Dr. Hesse, and I appreciate being able to give my children natural remedies instead of the usual over-the-counter stuff.

The best doctor I have ever seen. Gave me so much of his time unselfishly. Explained the holistic concepts in great detail so that I could understand both the holistic view and the conventional view. Dr. Hesse is very knowledgeable.

Dr. Hesse is a caring doctor who really takes the time to get to know his patients. He asks not only about physical symptoms but also about how things are going in one's life as a whole. His treatments are designed for the whole person, not only a particular ache or pain. The office environment is welcoming and friendly. The office manager is very helpful on the phone if you have any questions or concerns. They offer a number of additional therapies, such as rhythmical massage, music therapy, painting therapy, and eurythmy therapy. It's amazing how effective these treatments are, often eliminating the necessity for medications or other treatments like chiropractic. It's great to have a doctor with the knowledge and training of conventional medicine but with the additional training in anthroposophical medicine because he can often treat patients simply with pure homeopathic remedies, but if conventional meds are needed, he can prescribe them also.
