Dr. Kent Kwasind Huston, MD

I have RA and saw him for the first time after being hospitalized. For 18 months I have held out hope that he would show interest and help my condition in a meaningful way. He put me on two medications that are not helping and have several bad side effects. He is either incompetent or too lazy to run the proper tests so I can explore other, newer medications on the market that may help. I am in constant pain and he acted like I was trying to obtain pain medication - he was condescending when I trusted to ask him for help because the medications are not helping and I am in constant pain. I have frequent flare ups and he just looks at me with a blank stare when I describe my symptoms. It’s awkward. Terrible bedside manner and after 18 months I realized he has no interest in really getting to the bottom of my disease and assisting me in a meaningful way. I’m heartbroken, disappointed, and am seeking a referral to Mayo from my GP. Please think twice before wasting your valuable time with… this dr and putting your health in his hands.

I went to Dr. Huston in Jan., 2019 after being referred by a friend whom he had correctly diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease. I thought I had rheumatoid arthritis; Dr. Huston correctly diagnosed me with scleroderma. I am so lucky to have found him. He is a highly knowledgeable and caring physician and an excellent communicator. I have confidence in his ability to treat and help me manage this terrible disease.

He was so nice polite and interested in me. He is great and diagnosed me perfectly. I don't know why people said anything bad about me he is life changing! I'd like to thank him so much. He was prompt I didn't feel rushed he was so kind and he spends time with me!

I loved all of this. He was promt, intelligent, and really cared about me! You would think we know each other are whole life.

I was a little late 4 appt. Recep. Got me in for a few minutes, Dr Huston was nice, listened, but apparently did not hear ? I got 1 shot in butt. & a script for the following med. After My Wife & I read all of the meds. Side effects, I will NOT take! It IS HYDROXYCHLOR200MG TAB. SAN, GENERIC for Plaquenil. BEWARE !

Waste of my time. Went to a mayo clinic Rheumatologist and was properly diagnosed. Dr. Huston wasn't interested in even doing the testing. He wanted to diagnosed me with Fibro and send me on my way. Sad. He was a condescending jerk.

I have been seeing Dr Kwas and his nurse for 4 years and have always had a very positive experience. Never have to wait long and everyone is very polite. He always listens and I never feel rushed.

Wait time for appointment was very reasonable only a week. Staff very friendly and helpful. Wait time time to see doctor was less than 15 minutes. Dr. Huston was able to lesson and answer questions. Bedside man or was fine he appears to be quite by nature. I've had arthritis since I was 18 years old just moving to this area I was very pleased he was not quick to change my medications . He was very through. I would recommend him to a friend.

This is in response to Trish (Dr Kwas' nurse). I have been a patient in that office for over 10 years with Trish and she is a very caring, knowledgeable nurse. She is no-nonsense and expects you to be on time and do your part to help manage your issues. I think she is great...Dr. Kwas too.
