My wife and I feel incredibly fortunate that we met Dr. Kent Ta six years ago. From the very first visit, he not only accurately diagnosed my wife with rheumatoid arthritis (RA), but also carefully selected the best combination of treatments that have worked wonderfully for her. Thanks to his deep expertise and thoughtful approach, she has been able to manage her condition effectively and enjoy a much better quality of life. What makes Dr. Ta truly special is that over time he has become far more than just our doctor — he has become a real friend. Doctor provided no information more than what my PCP provided. Ordered tests that had already been done. Diagnosed an asymptomatic condition and prescribed “wait and see” as a remediation. Office is also technologically backwards, as a follow up via FaceTime was scheduled, I verified by calling the office beforehand, but a regular voice call was made. Then, a “no show” charge was levied against me, despite the fact that I wasted more than an hour waiting for a FaceTime call. Thought I’d straightened out the charge, but a year later the charge reappears and they want to send me to collections. If you want useful, competent care, go elsewhere.

I have have had joint pain and psoriasis off and on the majority of my adult life. After various tests, x-rays, MRIs, CT scans, and seeing many physicians and specialists with no answers, a friend finally referred me to Dr. Kent Ta, Rheumatologist at Overlake Arthritis and Osteoporosis in Bellevue, WA. Dr. Ta has been an AMAZING advocate for my health since the day I met him. As an associate of both UW Medical Center and Overlake Hospital & Medical Center, Dr. Ta is a leader and a trusted colleague of Rheumatology in the Puget Sound region. He takes a holistic approach to care reminding patients of the importance of hydration and balanced diet, plus avoiding foods that trigger flare ups. Dr. Ta truly listens to your concerns and symptoms, gives diagnostic testing referrals, and is very compassionate and understanding. Thanks to Dr. Ta noticing abnormal blood work regarding my thyroid, he was able to refer me to my Endocrinologist who in turn diagnosed an abnormal biopsy and subsequent … Cancer diagnosis. I receive IV infusions right in the clinic every 6 weeks for RA, and all of the staff is professional, friendly, and treats their patients with the utmost quality of healthcare. I began seeing Dr. Ta after my beloved rheumatologist of 25 yrs. retired. I thought it might be a difficult transition but Dr. Ta has been wonderful. He spends more than adequate time with you, answering any and all questions completely. He takes the time to educate which I have found helpful in collaboration between doctor and patient and essential in building a trusting relationship. I have chronic issues for which there is no miracle cure but Dr. Ta goes over all the prescribed meds and discusses potential side effects and options. He talks about lifestyle changes which might possibly help. He is well established in the medical community and if a referral to another specialist is necessary you can trust that it is someone who is well qualified. I have found making appointments easy and convenient. The staff is friendly and the wait time short. His medical assistant, Ashika, is always responsive in a timely manner. Phone messages are either returned the same day or the… following day. I am grateful to have been referred to Dr. Ta and would comfortably refer any of my family or friends to him should they be in need of a rheumatologist.

I have seen Dr. Ta for over ten years and have been very pleased with his medical care. He diagnosed my issue on the very first visit after multiple visits to my primary care physician. He is always willing to answer questions and I have found it easy to discuss medical issues with him. He will refer to other quality physicians for problems outside his speciality. His office staff is pleasant and professional.

I first went to Dr. Ta when other Drs. could not figure out what was wrong with me. He ended up figuring it out, put me on correct medications, and continues to solve new issues as they develop. He looks at the health of the whoile body, not just the one issue. He is an excellent Dr. and his staff always are pleasant to work with. Highly recommend.

I suffered for months while well-meaning practitioners kept mis-diagnosing me. Dr. Ta nailed my illness and prescribed miraculous med.'s that almost instantly turned my life back to pre-illness days. Well done, Doctor and thank you.
