He graduated with honors from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a degree in Microbiology in 1976. Dr. Willett then went on to get his dental degree from The University of Missouri, Kansas City in 1980. After completing his residency in general practice at the VA Hospital in New Orleans, he returned to Columbia in 1981, where he has had a practice for the past 29 years. Dr. Willett has been serving Columbia from his current office since 1994. Dr. Kent F. Willett is well known for his talents in both sedation dentistry and cosmetic dentistry. Dr.Willett was named “Best Dentist in Columbia,†by the Inside Columbia Magazine.
Dr. Willett is a member of the prestigious Pankey Institute in Key Biscayne, Florida, where he has completed studies in restoring difficult dental cases. As part of the Pankey Institute, he sees referrals from all over the United States seeking high quality dental care. In 2006 Dr. Willett trained with Dr. …Rhys Spoor where he completed advanced training in cosmetic veneer cases. In addition, each year in February, Dr. Willett and his team participate in Christian medical missions in Jamaica and the Dominican Republic. A lifelong resident of Missouri, Dr. Willett has been married to his wife, Vicki, since 1981, and has two wonderful children.
