I am writing this review to share my devastating experience with Dr. Kerianne Holman, who performed my gastric sleeve surgery 10 years ago. During the procedure, she severed my vagus nerve, which triggered Guillain-Barré syndrome?a rare and serious nerve condition?leading to a decade of unimaginable suffering.After the surgery, I experienced multiple life-altering complications, including feeding tubes, colostomy bags, hernia surgeries, gallbladder removal, appendix removal, and a bowel obstruction. My health deteriorated to the point where I temporarily lost my ability to walk, talk, and eat.In an effort to salvage my health, I had to travel to the University of Michigan and the Mayo Clinic for revision surgeries. This cascade of surgeries and complications has taken an immense toll on my life and mental health.I never had a doctor treat me so bad after they butchered me.
