Avoid this little frog man at all costs, he will steal your money.

I waited 20 years to have my teeth fixed. I had gone to two other orthodontists and was not pleased with their approach, so I never did anything about my teeth. One said it would take 5 years to correct with braces, the other wanted to break my jaw and wire my mouth shut for 6 weeks to correct my bite. Dr. Welch mapped out his approach very well with diagrams and a timeline of 2 1/2 years. He also takes photos of every angle of your face, taking into consideration how it will enhance your facial features: jaw line, how your lips lay, etc. Having a background as an oral surgeon gives him a greater capability to problem solve. I had many issues to correct, overbite, crowding, collapsed dental arch and a deep bite. He made an appliance just to open my arch. I also had problems with crowded nerves, which made pin placement difficult. He was able to resolve this easily with pin placement in the roof of my mouth instead of my gums. It has been 2 1/2 years now and my braces won't be off for… another 5 months, but he and my dentist are very thrilled with how well my teeth have turned out. Going over the predicted timeline is not his fault since not all the problems you encounter along the way can be foreseen. The older you get, the harder it is to correct, so I understand why it took a little longer than expected. I had my braces put on at 33 years old and a friend of mine whom is 53 years old also went to him. Hers are off now and her teeth look great. I'm really glad I waited and went to him. He is affordable and had a nice payment plan. His bedside manner is good and he has always cared about my comfort and pain level. I would highly recommend him.

Do NOT go to Dr. Welch. He is not a good orthodontist....bad chairside manner. Blames patient for anything that doesn't go right. Was late to several appts...aligners scratched my gums - he didn't seem to care - I had to file them down myself! When I had a serious health issue and had to suspend treatment for a period of time, he refused to see me again - THREW AWAY my aligners - wouldn't even take off my attachments! I'd paid him $5000 in full before any treatment. I would never recommend him to anyone. Nice Staff, but even they were shocked at his unprofessionalism and sympathized with me.
