His endoscopic colloid cyst surgery caused two major strokes during surgery. It has been a terrible life altering event. Now years later, the cyst is regrowing.

Dr. Kerry Crone is by far the most impecable neurosurgeon I have ever met. He performed my Chiari decompression surgery and I have never had a problem since! I truly believe that Dr. Crone is the reason I recovered as fast and well as I did. I will never go anywhere else.

Parents,listen to your instincts & push for the treatment & intervention you feel your child needs in order to get the best care they need! Crone didn't listen to me, and my son passed away. Prior diagnosis, chiari malformation. Deceased due to brainstem contusion and cerebral edema. If he just would have done the mri like i suggested, he might have lived.

My daughter was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. After visiting a number of other doctors for second opinions, we found Dr. Crone. He saw us on a SUNDAY since he was so busy.....he explained to us the options and talked about the best hope of her living and having a quality life. He was the only doctor we saw who believed there was a chance they could get the tumor out completely. Surgery was scheduled within a week. Although we were perpared for the worst, we got the best results from this kind and amazing man. He was excellent in follow-up and had a very easy manner so we could ask questions & get answers. My daughter loved him and his gentle manner.

Dr Crone was on call the week my son was injured. he already had hydrocephalus and a chiari malformation that had been decompressed. I begged for an MRI for four days and did not get one til my son began to crash, two days after showing clinical signs of neurological decline. He passed away, but i believe could have been saved with earlier intervention. Dr Crone knew my sons anatomy and still took a laid back attitude, even though I KNEW what we needed to do. I was not listened to. Please fight for your childs care at ALL TIMES! And don't hold these doctors so high on a pedastal.

Dr.Crone is an amazing doctor that has done 3 decompressions on my son. To say that he is anything less than a gift straight from the heavens would be doing him a great injustice. The fact that he is an amazing, talented, intelligent man would only be listing the obvious he also brings compassion, understanding and answers to the table. Having a decompression doesnt mean that Chiari is cured it helps relieve symptoms and theres not another Dr. that I would trust with my childs life. If you are fortunate enough to have him as your doctor than you too have been blessed.

when dealing w/chiari, dr. crone and cchmc is NOT the facility to be at! our child had fluid on the brain and a critical brainstem problem which was ignored for a year. when we brought it to their attention, they refused to see us anymore! look up specialists in chiari, i have attended nat'l. conferences and he is NOT an expert though he says he is.....run from there if it is chiari related!

I had hydrocephalus and Dr. Crone operated on me immediately. I am so thankful to him for saving my life! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
