Dr. Kerry Randall Lewis, MD

Dr. Lewis is very thorough and is a good listener. He does not rush you out the door and explains his findings in language that is understandable.

Trying to get refills on prescriptions is very time consuming. Not only do you have to make an appointment to see him every 6 months you also have to follow up with the staff to get the refills to the pharmacy. You can talk to 1 staff member and everything is taken care of and then 10 minutes later you talk to someone else that says nothing has been done. Dr. Kerry needs to take control of these matters.

Dr. Lewis has over several years consistently provided outstanding, compassionate, attentive, and thorough medical care for our 89-year old mother/mother in law who suffers from Alzheimer's/dementia, among other afflictions. His bedside manner is superb. He is thoughtful in his diagnosis and recommendations and communicates these clearly.

I think Dr. Lewis is one of the best doctor's I have been to. He is always kind and really knows his medicine. My family has been going to him for many years and he is always our go to guy when we don't feel well.

Dr. Lewises receptionist has been there for years. Her standard form of expression appears to have evolved from abrasiveness to maniacal rage, and she launches into a tirade at the slightest provocation. Catch her on an off day, and you'll have an experience you'll never forget. Unfortunately, you have to get past her to see the doctor. Doctor Lewis, on the other hand is competent and professional, but he seems to be oblivious to the waiting-room antics and avoids conflict. During my last visit, I informed him that I found his receptionist rude and abusive. His response was that "she's been there for a long time.â?? Though his answer begged a rejoinder, I managed to stifle myself.

had blood work done a week and a half ago. The office only calls for the results on Thursdays and then Dr. Lewis calls everyone back personally? I find this to be absurd as I just attempted to get the results and the response I was given was I am sure they have the results back by now but would you like to be placed on the call back list? I questioned what this was. I was told that he calls everyone back personally after 5pm. And that the list is so lengthy that we may not get a call back till Monday. I asked why not till Monday. They told me that judging by the list we may not hear from him till next Monday sometime after 5pm. This is the worst process I have ever heard of. So two weeks after the testing we may or may not get a call after 5pm. Give me a break. I could care less if it is the doctor that tells me what the test said or if it is a nurse who relays it then if I HAVE questions I should be able to request a return call at that time.

I've been seeing Dr. Lewis for years. He's excellent at what he does. He probably deserves a 5, but I gave 4s. His office doesn't seem to have the most recent technology, but I think he's very knowledgeable and has the experience to give the best care possible. It's not fancy, but it's good and personable.
