Dr. Kerry E. Shaver, MD

Dr. Kerry Eugene Shaver, an internal medicine specialist, completed his internal medicine residency at L.J. Chabert Medical Center in Houma, Louisiana, in 2011, elected president of the Chabert Resident Association. He served his internship at Earl K. Long Medical Center in Baton Rouge, LA. Dr. Shaver earned his medical degree cum laude from Saba University School of Medicine. Prior to medical school, he worked as a radiology technician/phlebotomy at Clinics of North Texas in Wichita Falls, TX. He holds a B.A. in Applied Science and an A.A.S. in Radiology from Midwestern State University. Before joining our center, Dr. Shaver was an internal medicine staff physician at Thibodaux Regional Medical Center in Thibodaux, LA, from 2011 to 2023. Passionate about addressing diabetes and heart health, Dr. Shaver believes taking the time to listen to his patients is key to enhancing their health and quality of life. His interactions with older adults have enriched his understanding, and he …finds their stories fascinating. Dr. Shaver chose medicine to make a difference in people's lives. In his free time, he enjoys the outdoors, cooking, and music.
