Dr. Kerry E Smith, PhD

For anyone that has actually worked with Kerry, then I don't need to call out the fact that her decisions and time are based solely on personal financial gain and have nothing to do with what's best for the child. The dysfunctional court system is the only reason this "doctor" is still in business.

Dr. Kerry Smith is a dishonest evaluator. Having the report done by her was a total waste of time. It took her 6 months to complete the report and she didn't include information that we talked about and information that I emailed her. This is why I classify her as dishonest because she did not give the judge all the information. She included 7 paragraphs regarding parenting time issues from my ex-wife and only included 1 paragraph from me. She was late for every appointment I had with her. She was an hour late for the home visit and my child and I had to wait for her for the office visits. I agree with the other post from this site. She does side with the mother. It seemed she included pretty much everything that my ex-wife said to her, but included very little what I said to her. I was asking for the same, more time with my child. I was not getting my visitation time with my child multiple times and Dr. Smith did not mention anything about this in the report. She stated that my… ex-wife pressured her and her staff to get the report completed, so she recommended all education and medical decision making can be made by my ex-wife, so my ex-wife would go away. She couldn't see the fact that my ex-wife pressures my child also. Dr. Smith just cares about herself. It was interesting the other review was from a few days ago from my review.

Stay away from Kerry Smith!!! In my opinion unless your spouse is a drug addict, alcoholic, has abandoned their child or have mental issues or other issues that you can prove in court the 604(b) evaluation is a complete waste of money, time and an emotional rollercoaster considering what’s at stake. Not to mention that you will tell your whole life to a complete stranger which I find to be a violation of your privacy. 0 stars for this bias, dishonest 604(b) evaluator. We chose Kerry Smith to be our 604(b) evaluator not knowing better, without doing our homework or even truly understanding the purpose of a 604(b) evaluator. So if the court suggestion is that a 604(b) evaluator is required and if you are a loving dad that wishes to continue to have equal decision making rights in your child or children’s life and want equal time spent with your kid / kids as your soon to be ex-wife do your homework and find another court appointed 604(b) evaluator. It will be extremely expensive and… frustrating to remove her from the case once she has been appointed. Speaking from my experience and apparently from other fathers Kerry’s case recommendations without fail favor the mother over the father. I have waited a long time to write this review so that I can be as detached and objective as possible so that Kerry cannot say that I didn’t like the outcome in her report and that is why I give her a negative review. This can’t be farther from the truth my goal is to make other fathers aware of Kerry Smith’s bias attitude and maybe help some of the desperate dads that want to be part of their kid’s life just as much as their mom but won’t be able to because of Kerry Smith’s bias recommendation to the court. Terrible, dishonest, horrible, not professional. Stay away from her! She works according to the directions of the Child Reps who recommend her to the court (that’s how she earns her money) and then she works according to the child reps.’ directions. K. Smith will go as far as swapping the test results between the parties being tested depending on what the Child Rep. wants. So be aware and get a second opinion. Do NOT rely on her testing results, because she is extremely dishonest and her work is worthless, useless and detrimental to everyone!

Dr. Smith was easy to trust and very professional.
