Dr Kerry L Thomas, MD

Dr. Thomas is a diagnostic radiologist in the Body Imaging division of Diagnostic Imaging at Moffitt Cancer Center. Dr. Thomas has expertise in interpreting imaging studies of the chest, abdomen and pelvis across multiple modalities, including CT scan, ultrasound, and MRI. Dr. Thomas completed undergraduate training at the Florida State University, followed by medical training at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine. Dr. Thomas continued at USF Morsani College of Medicine for Diagnostic Radiology residency training, where she served as chief resident. She also completed her fellowship training in body imaging at USF and joined Moffitt following fellowship in 2014. Dr. Thomaspreviously served at the Chair of Graduate Medical Education at Moffitt CancerCenter until 2022, where she was recruited to the University of North Carolinaat Chapel Hill. While at UNC, Dr. Thomas served as Abdominal Imaging divisionchief and then the Sr. Associate Dean of Graduate Medical …Education/ChiefGraduate Medical Education Officer/ACGME Designated Institutional Official forUNC School of Medicine and UNC Hospitals.  She returned to the Departmentof Diagnostic Imaging at Moffitt in 2024 as a Senior member radiologist and thedepartment's Director of Education and site director for the USF MCOMDiagnostic and Interventional Radiology residency programs.  Dr. Thomas isan active member of several professional radiology organizations, including:The Radiologic Society of North America, The American College of Radiology, and the Society of Abdominal Radiology.
