Dr. Kesha Abena Wilford, MD

I am 24 years old and I have peripheral neuropathy which causes pain or numbness in my neck, shoulders, arms, and hands. I was also diagnosed with carpal tunnel at 13 years old. I had to take EMG tests to confirm it, went to the chiropractor for a year, physical therapy, orthopedic, and took gabapentin for the pain but It didnt help the pain much and gave me blurred vision. This is the 2nd neurologist I've seen at the Glen Mills Brinton Lake office/practice. I've gone to them for 3-4 years now. At first I saw Dr. Pasquale Brancazio who was much worse than Dr. Kesha Wilford. He was very cold and careless towards me. He told me there was nothing he could say or do about my peripheral neuropathy and carpal tunnel until i got a genetic test done to see if I have a rare disease called "Charcot Marie Tooth" disease. This genetic test was not covered by my insurance or any insurance for that matter and costs $1000 out of pocket. So I switched to Dr. Kesha Wilford since Dr. Brancazio was… not helping. Dr. Wilford told me that I did not need to get this $1000 genetic test done because the treatment would be the same either way. Pain management is all we could do. She was more attentive at my first couple appointments but then started becoming more careless in the following appointments. She seems to always be in a rush to move onto her next patient because she gets double booked which sounds like a bad idea. What happened to quality over quantity? Anyway, she was being very cold, and careless towards me in my most recent appointment with her. She pretty much said “why are you here?” In an unwelcoming tone and face like i was wasting her time. I tried to tell her that im still having pain and am having trouble figuring out why. She didnt say much and just told me she thinks I should see a different neurologist because shes out of ideas and doesn't know how else to help me except prescribe meds. She didnt even ask me questions or do anything to try to help me figure out what i can do about the pain and why im having it. There was a complete lack of effort, sympathy, and compassion from both Dr. Kesha Wilford and Dr. Pasquale Brancazio. These neurologists do a lousy job and only pretend to do a good job when they have a student intern shadowing them at an appointment. My recommendation is DONT go to them. The neurologists at this location (and many doctors in my experience) tend to be unattentive, don't listen, don't think outside of the box to help you find the cause & solution to your problem or condition. They just nod their head, say oh okay, prescribe some medicine or tests, and say see ya later! It's a problem with modern doctors. They're needs to be more of a holistic approach from them because they are masking symptoms with medicine instead of addressing the cause of the problem which requires you to find out about your patient's daily life, what they do, and how they live that may cause this. Thankfully my PCP Patricia Eckart also has nerve problems and referred me to her personal neurologist who I hear is much better and actually cares. Dr. Terry Heimen from Temple University. Everyone please be aware that not all doctors actually care about you or have your best interest at heart so try your best to find one that does. Check online reviews and such. My guess is that they've been taught to follow robotic procedures in school and don't know how to think holistically about their patients & the body. Hopefully one day this will change.

On aoffice bust we discussed when the last time levels were checked in my son kidneys when she looked in the computer I could tell she was confused they are suppose to be checked every 6 months it was 2 years I was told she would call me with results never got a call so I called them after wIting a week I was told they would call me back at the end of the day never got that call either so I waited two more days called back and was mad loud and yelling with that I got a call back from a doc I did not know with the results when I returned home I got a letter saying she could not see us any more because I said I was calling the insurance company not one time that my kid seen her did she ever explained him she sat bwhind the desk ya on the other side she asked a few questions and said see u in 6 months the call center is a big joke they don’t rely messages they don’t care u back and among that rude. This is only part of what we went thru we had a schedule hospitol stay to transfer meds… was told the Irvin always doc was out of the country they cancelled called me back to reschedule and told me the doc was back upon getting to the hospitol the nurses told me the shock never returned and they plucked a doc from another hospitol to do the procedure after talking to him he told me all kinds of bad side affects that could happen so we called it off this office is in need of some training workers call center reps all of them I am very upset to the fact she discharged us giving us 30 days to find another doc but hoping the new docs do a better job

Dr Wilford put me at ease.I left her office feeling that she cared about my well being. All of my concerns were addressed and I didnt feel rushed or embarassed dicussing my healthcare issues with her. A great visit!

Horrible. Took personal phone call during my appointment, finally scheduled MRI and did not call me back with results. Unprofessional and would not recommend if you are concerned about your health.

Did not share words with me during visit, yet sent me for testing with a serious diagnosis code. Would not return my calls following testing. Refused my care through a very unprofessional and might I add undocumented phone call.
