After having 2 knee surgeries with a local surgeon and feeling worse off after each one, I finally decide to do some research on the internet and do some traveling to find a better surgeon. Lucky for me Hershey was only 30 minutes away. My previous surgeon refused to do any follow up imaging after I was still in pain 7 months after surgery. Dr. Black did an MRI for me and found.. surprise!.. a chunk of cartilage under my knee cap causing locking, grinding and pain. We discussed options and I choose to take the easiest solution to remove the extra piece and nothing else. 6 weeks later my knee fells the best it has felt since before the last 5 years of problems. Sometimes it takes awhile to get an appt, but the waits aren't usually that long. He's a nice guy that takes time with you and doesn't blow you off. 5 stars.

Dr. Black repaired my torn quadrecepts tendon 10 years ago using new and yet unproven ideas to repair my very badly damaged leg. He did an excellent job. He also accuratly diagnosed my wife's need to have both of her knees replaced. We went to other doctors trying to find relief for my wife and doctor Black told us right out the knees must be replaced. This doctor is one of the best in the entire world. I highly recommend him and am deeply grateful to him for all he did for me and my wife. I wish he could understand how truly grateful we are to him for his excellent care.
