Dr. Kevin William Blechle, DO

Needs to spend less time at the Chuck o Rama bottenless buffet line and more time showing compassion and care to the poor souls who end up seeing him. Hes a joke-stay away!

My mother had been living in Preston, IA, and when I moved her to Bettendorf, I took her to Dr. Blechle. I explained that something was wrong with my mother and doctors in Preston, had not found whatever it was. I was very close to my mother and knew she was not acting like her normal self. She had been conversing with me until about 2 weeks prior to the Dr. visit. She had quit talking and was just moaning. When I asked her what was wrong, she would say nothing was wrong. I wanted Dr. Blechle to run some tests to diagnose what was wrong with her but he said he could not run tests just to be running tests. He thought it was just her age (she was 82). Just about 6 months later, I found out she had Ovarian Cancer. She had not been able to urinate or have a BM. Dr. Blechle had treated her for a urinary tract infection. Since she had breast cancer about 10 years earlier, it should have been a clue that she could possibly have ovarian cancer. If he had run a CT scan earlier,… perhaps there would have been some hope instead of waiting until she was in the hospital, in agonizing pain. I lost a wonderful mother in 2005. I think Dr. Blechle should have, at least, apologized for not following my intuition. If I had it to do over, I would have taken her to the University of Iowa Hospital for a diagnosis.

Dr. Blechle is very knowledgeable, takes the time to explain anything I do not understand and is very kind. His staff is wonderful, they also will explain anything that is not a 'doctor' question. The staff is also very accommodating in scheduling and insurance areas....Glad we found him...Thank you.

Very great doctor. We are thankful everyday for him, three generations (of my family) have seen him. He actually takes time to listen, and address concerns. Definately a five star doctor!!
