I cannot express enough gratitude for the exceptional care my husband received from Dr. Brumund during his recent thyroidectomy. From our very first consultation to the post-operative follow-up, Dr. Brumund exhibited a level of professionalism, expertise, and compassion that truly put our minds at ease during a stressful time. Dr. Brumund took the time to thoroughly explain the procedure, potential risks, expected outcomes, and the treatment plans in a way that was both clear and reassuring. It was evident that Dr. Brumund is not only highly knowledgeable but also deeply committed to patient-centered care. We never felt rushed during appointments, and all of our questions were answered with patience and kindness. The surgery itself went smoothly, thanks to Dr. Brumund's skilled hands and meticulous attention to detail. My husband's recovery has been quite smooth, and we are incredibly pleased with the results. Dr. Brumund and the entire medical team provided exceptional support… throughout the recovery process, ensuring that my husband was well-informed at every stage. Extremely disappointing experience. It took months to get an appointment. The referring Dr sent the the referral over at least 10 times. They kept claiming the fax didn’t come through. The referring doctor was very clear about what he saw & showed us when he did the scope. When we finally got an appointment we didn’t even see Dr. Brumund, We saw an assistant. She couldn’t answer any questions & had to call someone in to setup the scope for her. We were sent away & told she would consult with the Dr & call us in 1-2 days. No call. 7 days later we called them. The end of that day the assistant called & told us the “Dr didn’t see anything of concern”. Which I find unsettling after seeing the referring Doctor with 40+ years of experience who expressed his concern, showed us what he was concerned about & told us we needed to be referred ASAP. We spent half a day with drive time. I’m sure we will get a ridiculous bill just to see an unprofessional, unqualified assistant, no Doctor & no… answers.

This man is arrogant. If you ask a question and he does not believe it is a question he needs to answer, he will say, "The plane is overhead if you want to go to another doctor." Brushes you off in a NY minute. Wish there were someone else in the area, but too late now. I had a wonderful surgeon at Hoag Hospital, but he has retired. The funniest thing was I asked for pre-med help for my crushing anxiety, he offered 0.5 Ativan while I am already taking 2.0 mg. three times a day--so 6 times per day! What a joke. He can keep his baby dose; I just hope the anesthesiologist has a better bedside manner and a little compassion.

Dr. Brumond is an awesome ENT doctor. He does his own biopsies right in the clinic and is available for urgent issues at the same time reassuring. Highly assertive and works very well with the multi-disciplinary team of imaging, pathology, radiation oncology, and oncology. Words cannot adequately express my gratitude.

I saw Dr. Brumund for my thyroid and he dismissed me completely based on my lab work. Turns out, my thyroid is overactive and may need to be completely removed. I spent so much time working on trying to see him too. What a waste.

His strength is that he is very experienced in his chosen medical specialty. He is willing to answer questions if the question is asked. Sometimes it appears as though he is limited to the twenty minutes allowed for an appointment. But when it comes to complicated surgery, he spends the necessary time. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Brumund is an excellent doctor who not only diagnosed and treated me well, but was compassionate and understanding in the process. I would highly recommend him.

Dr. Brumund is an excellent physician who is very attentive to his patients. He answered all my questions concerning my medical issue in a language I could understand. He was able to get me in right away and performed the necessary surgery with a small incision-which led to a quicker recovery time and minimal scarring. I highly recommend this doctor.
