Dr. Kevin James Carter, MD

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Carter’s for about 3 years now & over that time I have witnessed him care for patients of all ages. His care is tailored for each patient because he takes the time to listen to their concerns and makes sure they have an understanding of their health issues before the visit is finished. He is very personable with his patients & often gives appointments & does triage over the phone, via text, at the grocery store and even in church! He even makes house calls (occasionally) and is relentless in his effort to provide quality care. His passion for medicine is obvious and I am thankful that medical professionals like him are still around.

Dr. Carter is an amazing MD with an awesome bedside manner. He is kind and caring to his patients and leaves a lasting impression from the very first visit.

I went to McFarland Health Care Clinic when I was going through a class in Shreveport LA where Dr Carter works. He told me I had pneumonia and wrote me a prescription for and antibiotic and told me to take some mucinex. I had finished the antibiotic and still felt terrible so I went back in. All he did was tell me to keep using the mucinex but would not prescribe a different antibiotic. He also wanted me to do a CAT scan because he said my lymphoid were swollen. I did the CAT scan and waited 2 days for the results. I call to see what the verdict was but was told he was in a meeting and he would call back. I never got a call back. A couple days after that I tried to call again but again he was busy and I was told he would call back. Again I never got a call back. Finally on my way out of town over a week later I called to get more information and I was put on hold then hung up on. After this I gave up trying and just said forget it.
