Dr. Kevin Gerard Cleary, MD

In 39 years on this earth, General Physicians and Dr. Cleary office is hands down the least responsive and most unorganized clinic I've ever experienced. They have changed portals which has caused them issues filling scripts. They do not check their new portal regularly whatsoever, do not answer the phone timely or return phone calls. I have been without a script for a month. an entire month. Unless I find the time to walk into their office during my workday, I won't get it due to their incompetence.

Always professional

Dr. Cleary and his wife Tammy are abusive, ignorant and rude to their patients and employees. I don't recommend supporting this business for that reason. Don't take my word for it, read other reviews on the internet

I do like the doctors. However, staff is poor. Do not listen to patients, talk over you, not patient centric. Awaiting call back for over 2.5 weeks to have my wife reinstated as a patient, no call back. I have called 3 times. They do not accept Health NY and prefer that you find another doctor. Now have insurance they accept but have not reinstated my wife. Very poor patient relations. Would not recommend to family or friends.

The entire time Dr. Cleary is in the exam room with me he talked all about his kids and their stats in sports. This happens every time I go in. He spends little to no time on me or the reason I am there and the rest of the time boasting about his kids and where they go to college and how good they are in sports.

Run as fast as you can from this practice. Rude people. 5 day call back time when I was trying to have a script filled. Plus they are not honest and treat you like herded cattle

Extremely rude staff

If your looking for a newv pcp steer clear of this office. I have been a patient of dr. Clearlys for years now..never seen the doctor only pa..recently was charged $50 for a supposed missed appointment when called to have that charge removed..was told I had to pay it or would be released from practice. .also was told they would not refill my prescriptions..which I need on everyday basis..I recently fractured my elbow and was seen at urgent care facility and needed to see a surgeon immediately. .bc of my insurance I need the referal from my pcp . My wife and I both called and was treated horribly by this so called office manager. We were yelled at and hung up twice on bc of this supposed balance ..she refused to give us the referal unless the balance was paid..before she hung up she said good luck with your referral..so now were forced to find a new pcp and are unable to get in for months..I am unable to work bc of the pain and this office screwed me over. After reading all these… reviews and the countless families affected by this office and this unproffessional office staff I cant understand how they can operate this way. If the docs in this practice are unaware how the staff is treating there patients they need to read this reviews bc they are going to run their practice into the ground.

I have been a patient for approximately 11 years. During this time period I have only seen Dr. Cleary twice. The other 15 times I met with a PA. Scheduling is an absolute nightmare and wait times on the phone can be up to 25 minutes. The staff are rude and indifferent if one wants to cancel an appointment and are judgemental if one would like to cancel an appointment. Furthermore they have no qualms about billing people even if appropriate notice was given. I would definitely not recommend this Dr. to anyone. Completely unprofessional and worth the time.

Watch out-Dr. Cleary clearly is running a racket- not a medical practice. they force you to come in for unneccessary appts. They insisted my kids come in for asthma checkups after already having physicals and sick visits 2 months prior. Stated it was office policy. Made me make an appointment- never did a phone call reminder as they always have in past, I did not remember because no one was ill or needed a physical- forced us back in and charged us for no shows and copays for the 2 unneccessesary visits..gave my daughter breathing treatments and she was not sick. Was told by the PA there who was leaving that day for good, that they are extremely unprofessional and unethical. It is a rotten practice. I have never seen so many negative reviews. Also told my daughter who was having abd pain at another visit that they have no idea what is wrong with you- "hon" Had US done by OB with no help from them- large dermoid tumor. With that said told my brother that he had a wart on his finger… for a year- turned out to be melanoma and no longer has his finger. Bad business here...Dr. Cleary
