I have chosen to retain membership in the American Society of Anesthesiologists, California Society of Anesthesiologists, and Sierra Sacramento Valley Medical Society. I enjoy the challenge of the “difficult airway patient” and have been fortunate enough to have numerous manuscripts published in medical journals such as Anesthesia and Analgesia, the Clinical Journal of Sports Medicine, and Anesthesia File. I believe in providing the highest level of patient care; therefore, I have elected to advance my education to include certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Basic Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and Basic Trauma Life Support. I have also had the opportunity to receive certification as an instructor in Advanced Cardiac Life Support.

I am originally from the great state of Michigan, where I resided for thirty-one years before coming to the beautiful state of California. I received …multiple degrees and an outstanding education from the University of Michigan and Wayne State University. I enjoyed academic endeavors including Grossman and Gelston Research Fellowships at the University of Michigan and a National Cancer Institute (NCI) Oncology Fellowship at the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles. Non-academic activities include racquet sports and the appreciation of music.
