Dr. Kevin Howard Durocher, MD

I'm not sure why their are some bad reviews. Dr. D has been nothing but kind to me. He listens. He has a very soothing voice and makes me feel calm. He is a bit reserved, but I do believe he cares for pts.

I visited Dr. Durocher to start back on the regimen I have always taken for school, as I just started back to school for the first time in 10 years to get my masters. He told me that I was trying to do too much and that I did not need medication because I had not been taken the medication in years. I waited in the waiting room for longer than he spent with me in my appointment, just to be told that I was attempting to do too much.

Terrible, doesn't want to help anyone, but his own wallet. NO understanding and NO compassion!!

a very professional doctor who sees the complete picture, is not one to prescribe medication unless it is needed. Very insightful

The WORST. I make it a point to not dwell on negative experiences in life, but this one I can't seem to shake--- 2 years later! So I'm writing this review. First there is his manner: the word contemptuous comes to mind. He scoffed at every attempt I made to intellectually clarify my inner turmoil. He ridiculed the diagnoses of other psychiatrists I'd seem in the past. One of them a world renowned expert, by the way. His arrogance was remarkable! It was as if he had a predetermined view of me before I even walked in the door. I've surmised based on his comments, behaviors , etc that the view is this: patients who come to me are looking for excuses and drugs from me. They are sub humans who will get nothing from me. Not even sympathy. I will communicate my contempt for them by showing no interest in their "made up"problems. Ok, you get the picture and I'm getting upset writing this. It's just so awful to feel so low in the first place and then to reach out to such a monster for help. … I don't know what happened to him to make him this way? Such a cold, judgmental, downright mean person. If you're feeling suicidal, he could push you to end it all. Beware.

Not friendly, not interested in you, does not talk, interact, nor can give advice as to where you can get group therapy.I have not see a psychiatrist, nor heard of one, less empathetic in my life. a BIG "NO" as far as I'm concerned. If you need a sympathetic psychiatrist, you will not find it in him, nor will he give you any direction as to where to find it.
