Of course, Gulf Coast would hire a DO instead of a MD in their Emergency Room! This physician has a terrible bedside manner, especially with the elderly. He is incapable of treating a nose bleed nor has the sense to call in a specialist when he doesn't possess the knowledge to provide correct treatment. Good luck if you get him on your next ED visit. Be prepared to have to return to the ED with complications. He doesn't care. He will smile and wave as you are headed out the door. He will wish you good luck, which you will need, unless you have a great attorney!!

Dr Encarnacion Kevin (Dr E), happened to be my ER doc at Gulf Coast Medical Center in Fort Myers where I visited with an unfamiliar symptom. Dr E was excellent and used great expertise with humor helping me to get through this difficult time. I know most of us think ER docs are really those you could careless about patients and patients’ satisfaction, however, Dr E proved to us that ER physicians can be great doctors as well.
