Dr. Kevin Abbas Ghassemi, MD

I would give 10 stars to the doctor if I can. I went to see Dr. Ghassemi for acid reflux. He recommended an endoscopy. I’m a disabled person and this kind of test is very hard for me. dr. Ghassemi took time to explain to me, he was full of patients with me. When I finally decided to do the test he was the VERY BEST. He was waiting for me at the procedure room comforting me that it’s going to be fine. The test took only few minutes. Dr Ghassemi is an excellent doctor and UCLA should be proud to have him as part of their teem.

I have been going to Dr. Ghassemi for a colonoscopy and upper endoscopy every year for five years. I have a genetic predisposition to colorectal cancer and thanks to Dr. Ghassemi, I have never had cancer. He hunts for pre-cancerous polyps and snares them before they manifest into trouble. Dr. Ghassemi is true professional who is passionate about his patients well being. If I could give him 10 stars, I would push it to 11.

Dr. Ghassemi is the most amazing doctor! I feel confident under his care. He is always patient and compassionate. I never feel rushed or hurried in his office. He takes time to listen to your concerns.

I have been looking for a good GI doctor and came across Dr. Ghassemi. He made early accommodation due to the severity of my case, explained in details on what's going on with me, patient to answer all my questions, knowledgeable and honest. I highly recommend him to anyone wanting to see a GI doctor

The entire colonoscopy experience was positive once I arrived st UCLA...hard to believe, I know. The entire team, led by Dr. Ghassemi was upbeat, positive and even fun....next to no stress, professional and positive...and I don't need to return for another 10 years!

I had such a bad experience with Dr Cary B. Strom; (I told him about it recently), that it took me 10 years to reschedule a colonoscopy. So glad I found Dr Ghassemi; what a nice, friendly and professional person and he did a beautiful job at finding and removing one polyp.

I'm not particularly fond of the check-in lady at this office because she has been rude to me I suspect out of frustration from situations with other patients, but nevertheless everyone else from scheduling to medical assistants to even interns are great. Dr. Ghassemi took the time to explain my diagnosis and the risks associated with it in a way that I could understand. He really took time to understand my hesitation for opting into surgery and provided an alternate route after seeing I had made up my mind. I often see Dr. Ghassemi on campus, always very friendly and approachable. I think it's difficult to find doctors that genuinely enjoy their job and are able to communicate with patients at their level. Most don't understand MD lingo when first diagnosed and understanding fully what you have is the first step towards solving the matter. I can see why my favorite PCP highly recommended Dr. Ghassemi for my problem.

Dr. Ghassemi is very compassionate and understanding. His bedside manners are wonderful. I never felt rushed. He took the time to listen and explain everything to me. I feel he is truly looking out for me to get 100% better. I highly recommend Dr. Ghassemi.
