Our daughter was having symptoms and we took her to Dr. Gietzen to look into having her tonsils and adenoids removed. We were nervous about surgery but Dr. Gietzen not only patiently answered every question about surgery, he also gave us other options, including to wait and see if she improved with age. He did not pressure us or push in any one direction. We did move forward with the T&A and it was the best thing we could have done. Our daughter's all around health has improved, she can taste foods better with the adenoids removed and no more chronic sore throats and tight airway with the tonsils gone. She is so happy and so are we. Most of all we appreciate his time with us prior to surgery and his updates after surgery. It can be nerve wracking to hand your child over for surgery and he explained everything so completely and made us smile with kind humor along the way. There is no one better at taking care of their patients than Dr. Gietzen.

My son has a lot of allergies so we went to see an allergist . All he did was keep giving us over the counter and Rx allergy meds and nose sprays. after it costing us a few hundred dollars to get an allergy test, and 3 years of allergy meds not doing a thing and my poor son can’t smell and his nose is always running I decided to get a second opinion. 1 visit to Dr. Gietzen and he knew his adenoids needed to be removed. His adenoids are so large the meds do nothing .

Dr. Geitzen is one of the best doctors I have been too. He was very thorough, gentle in his exam and made discoveries that multiple other doctors never found. He was kind to listen to all my concerns and questions. He arranged for me to have biopsies and called me himself with recommendations! (I have never had a doctor actually call me himself!) He and his team worked hard to get me a good referral to a specialist as well. His help has literally changed my life, and I am so grateful I have him as a doctor. His medical staff is very friendly and timely. They called me back within hours not within weeks like so many other offices. I would highly recommend Dr. Geitzen and his staff.

Great office and staff

Based on my experience with Dr. Gietzen today, I would strongly recommend him as a doctor. His office was beautiful and spotless, the staff were professional, caring, pleasant, and efficient. Their timeliness and respect of my time as the patient was excellent. Dr. Gietzen is kind, caring, professional, and thorough. He carefully listened to my son's symptoms before examining and diagnosing the problem. He then spent time explaining possible solutions and gave us freedom to opt for or against a procedure. He was thorough and careful in explaining the procedure, risks, benefits, and what to expect during and after the procedure. He made sure we were fully informed and had ample opportunity to ask questions. I could not offer higher praise of Dr. Gietzen and his practice.
