Dr. Kevin James Heinze, MD

12-1/2 years ago I gave birth to my first child. I relocated to CO from CA to leave a hostile situation. I was alone, scared and pregnant. He was recommended to me by a coworker who used him during her birth. I decided to give him a try and i am SO glad I did. He was absolutely amazing. He was personable, reassuring, comforting and thoughtful. We picked a date for induction during a time he was going through a major life change and his reason for choosing an induction date was so that my mother, who was in California, can be present for the birth so that I wouldn’t have to give birth alone. This was an idea that he thought of all on his own. He was respectful of my birth plan (which wasn’t much since I had no idea about anything). He explained everything and addressed every part of the birthing experience in a way that I understood it and was able to make educated decisions. I have since relocated back to CA and had 2 other children and the experiences were nowhere even close to the… experience that Dr. Heinz (and his staff) created. As a matter of fact, they were terrible in comparison. I will never forget this man and the advice, shoulder to lean on, education and comfort that he provided me. If you are looking for a real honest, comfortable experience, he is definitely the man to choose for the job. My only regret was that I couldn’t come back to CO so he can be my doctor with my other two.

Best OB/Gyn I've ever had. Would highly recommend Dr Heinze and that's from someone who has had to see quite a lot of him.

Was referred to Kevin in 1997 & have been seeing him ever since. Is the wait long? Yeah sometimes.Is it worth it? 100% due to the fact that he spends so much time with each patient! Anyone who has seen him for any number of years knows to book either the first appointment of the day or the first appointment after lunch to keep the waiting time down.If you're looking for a suit, tie and a traditionally formal doctor, you're looking at the wrong guy. Kevin is casual & incredibly down to earth wearing sandals & writing your advice on paper towel. He will give you frank opinions but will listen whole-heartedly to yours. I've seen some reviews that he's pushy about the epiderals. Never found him to be pushy, they must be thin-skinned reviewers. He recommended it strongly because he does not believe in unnecessary suffering when it can be prevented. He wants you to be as comfortable as possible.He delivered my high-risk twins, kept me alive when I hemmoraged severely… afterwards...and for that I would follow the man's practice to the moon.Unfortunately thanks to Obama's FABULOUS legislature changes to the medical industry, my work no longer covers anything but the Kaiser HMO. The result is that I'm losing him after all these years. It has me almost in tears, as women know it's very hard to get comfortable with a new gyno. I will severely miss his dedication, frankness, and humor.

I was referred to Dr. Heinze after my previous OB retired. Dr. Heinze is great. He spent a lot of time with me and he made me feel very at ease. He is honest and very concerned about me. He will not recommend unnecesary procedures.

Before going to Dr. Heinze, I'd seen 5 different doctors and nurses trying to get my Implanon implant out. The doctor who put it in put it way too deep, and nobody could find it. Dr. Heinze found it within 5 minutes and had it out in half an hour, freeing me of a problem I'd had for almost a year. The man knows his stuff, and he and his staff are friendly and helpful all the while.

Dr Heinze is the go-to doctor if you are having ANY female problems but he is also a fantastic doc for someone who isn't having any problems. I was referred to him by a family friend who has had a lot of ovarian issues and they were finally solved because of his attention to detail and incredible experiance. He delivered my second child and I wish he had delivered my first as well. I completely trust this man and I have never felt safer or more assured by any doctor I have ever had. I had a couple issues towards the end of my pregnancy and he even talked to me on the phone at one in the morning to make sure I was ok! He is amazing and I will be recommending him to anyone female I know!

Does unnecessary cervical biopsies during what he calls "routine" colposcopies! He recommends this procedure because he says he is being extra vigilant, but I'd like to see his insurance billing records. My guess is he gets reimbursed quite often for this procedure so it is profitable for him to recommend it. I know it is not typically recommended because I've switched Docs and not once has he ever suggested I have the procedure. I even asked him about it! My sis-in-law who has never had any gynolocogical complications had the same experience with Dr. Heinze.
