Dr. Kevin Patrick Hogan, MD

I have been seeing Dr. Hogan for many years. I have a skin condition that can not be cured. However with the right medications it can be controlled. Dr. Hogan is the only Dermatologist that have been able to find the which medications work for me. There is a light box on the premises that helps with my condition. Some see it and think its a tanning booth but it is not. There's a big difference. The light box is a very low risk of skin cancer and the tanning booth is a much higher risk. Dr. Hogan explained the difference and advised me to stay away from tanning beds. He is one of very few Drs. that actually takes his time with you and really listens. One visit and you know he cares.

On time but dos'nt feel rushed. Explains things clearly .he is very capable and calm. I really trust him.

I love Dr. Hogan. As soon as he opened his practice in Frederick, I made an appointment with him. I had been to three different dermatologists for a facial skin problem. None of them diagnosed it, nor did they care that they didn't know what it was. Dr. Hogan told me it was one of two diseases. He took a tissue sample, and he was right. He put me on medication, and I have not had an issue since then. He is a very kind, empathetic, caring Dr. who listens to my concerns and always treats them accordingly. He is a pathologist as well as a dermatologist, and he is a great Dr.

This doctor didn't listen to my concerns at all and told me that I should sit in a tanning bed to help with my skin problem. Really? And he's supposed to be a dermatologist? I'll never go there again and neither should anyone else.

Dr. Kevin Hogan and his staff are the most accurate, empathetic, efficient and knowledgeable group that I have met for a very long time. You don't get shuffled to a 'PA', and he gets the diagnosis right every time. What a jewel! Medicine as it was meant to be practiced.
