Dr. Kevin Michael King, MD

I was diagnosed with colon cancer last week at University Hospital at the medical center. I am a single mother putting my son through college and am self employed. I do not have enough money to pay for health insurance. The doctor that diagnosed me, told me not to postpone the surgery and that I have to go to the ER to have the surgery. So I went in to the ER after work around 5:30pm. Finally I saw Dr King. He was an awful person, no bedside manner whatsoever. In the almost 12 hours I was there they did a blood test and urine sample and was told that I was taking up needed space for people with emergencies. I was also told that this mass had been in my colon for probably 6 months what's another couple weeks until Obama care kicks in. The nurses kept coming in and checking on me, saying I can't believe how you are being treated and even gave me phone numbers to complain. My question is, when did money/insurance become more important than my life. I left the hospital with no… resolution or hope for one. I would avoid Dr King at all costs. He has no concern for human life.
